My wife is loosing weight despite being normal & healthy. She is having balanced nutritional diet & hasn't suffered from any illness. Neither she is under any stress or depression. Her age is around 29 years & she is mother of two kids. What are the reasons/treatment for the same?

Diploma in Diet and Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Hyderabad
Hi lybrate user, her bmi is 23.8 which means her weight is normal for her height. If the weight loss is very rapid. That is 3-5 kgs per month. If properly measured. It can be due to several reasons. You can start with 1. Deworming tablets. If things still do not improve you can get her thyroid /sugar test / cbc done. But my hunch is that she is normal and in good health. For a good diet you can refer to the recommendations given by other doctors.

My friend has pregnant from 1.5 month. And she wants abortion. Then which medicine will take?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), PGDHHM, MBBS

It is not recommended to take any medicine without doctor advise. You need to visit a gynecologist with a ultrasound report and then she will be able to advise you the best method of abortion suiting your case.

On 6.5. 16 my USG report was presentation-breech position (head position of baby-upper side) but on 14.5. 16 it was Cephalic. Is it possible during this short time? If amniotic fluid is mild polyhydric, how it affects the baby. Is there any chance of sugar for baby or mother?

Yes the baby rotates multiple times in a day, one day it can be on left the other day on right and so on. There is nothing to worry about. If you have not done your sugar test during pregnancy done then get it done now both fasting and 2 hr after meal.
