Any muscle or group of muscles are susceptible to anxiety and stress caused tension and pain. Once the muscles are strained, they can spasm and'lock up, which can cause even greater pain and immobility, such as that commonly associated with chronic back pain. The long-term solution to anxiety and stress caused chronic back pain is reducing your anxiety and your body’s stress sufficiently so that your body stops exhibiting chronic back pain symptoms. Some short-term remedies that might also help alleviate chronic back pain: Anything that reduces your body’s stress can help, such as deep relaxation, rest, and getting good sleep. Regular light to moderate exercise can also help loosen tight muscles, such as those responsible for chronic back pain. Heat (heat causes tight muscles to loosen). Having a warm bath. Have a massage. Vibrator on the back (vibration can help loosen tight muscles and stop muscle spasms). Avoiding stimulants (stimulants stress the body). Muscle relaxants. Gentle/mild stretching. Slowing down a hectic schedule or lifestyle. Taking some time off so that your body can reduce its stress. And so on. Again, anything that can help reduce the body’s stress and relax muscles, can help alleviate chronic back pain.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Hello, please ask her to follow the below medication:- 1. Take phytolacca berry tablets (wsi), 2 tablets with warm water, three times a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Fatoline drops from haslab, 15 drops + 1/2 cup of warm water, twice a day. 3. Take 1 glass of luke warm water with lemon juice and honey in the morning for 15 days in a month. 4. Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. Revert after 1 month.

Xray of whole spine should be done to know why it is happened. Check your position of sitting & lying. Do some exercise in morning.

Fever with joint pains are the common symptoms for both dengue and chickenguinea. Keep checking for any rashes. Make her drink at least 3 liters of fluid a day to prevent dehydration. Complete rest.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and. Put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

1 year back I have suffered from fever, joint pain, pain in chest bones, skin rashes dryness, tiredness, yellow eyes, swallowing in face, eyelids. My blood count test is normal, in my LFT test my bilirubin level was 3.3. I have taken medicine from 1 year. Still it is decreasing and increases when I do not take tablets. Dear lybrate-user, please use cold pack on the back 3-4 times a day for 10-15 mins. Can go for nsaids after consulting a general physician. Bluish discoloration will resolve spontaneously with time. Do write to me if needed any further help.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello, I am 21 years old. My knees cracks and pops a lot when I squat. It started almost an year ago when I started running on regular basis. It first started in the left knee and know from last two weeks I am experiencing this in my right knee. There is no pain in right knee but a little bit of itching type pain which is very slight. I think the way of your exercise doing is wrong ,do it in proper technique and position. Avoid complete bending of your knees while lower body exercises to avoid over lode on your knee joint ligaments .for more clarification come to private consultation.

Having backache and neck ache due to office lifestyle. Will regular exercise and physio sessions help?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It is actually known that office workers sitting on their computers for a long time can have chronic neck pains and with a bad posture can subsequently develop back pain as well. The answers to all these questions lies in: - proper posture counseling and maintenance during work - isometric neck exercises, lower back strengthening, abdominal strengthening, and a set of general conditioning ex can help you to get much fitter and muscles toned - also it is advisable to do daily brisk walks for 2-3 km in around 30 minutes time. - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake is also helpful so definitely exercises and physical therapy sessions should help you quite a lot in getting rid of pain.
