I am 22 year old male. Broke my femur mid shaft exactly 5 months before. I've started to jog slowly. Can I push more and do exercises like squat and leg press and other rehab exercises and be back to sport (cricket) in another one month? I do feel a little numbness and tightness after doing rigorous training.

Do exercise slowly don't get heavy work-out daily up to 1-2 months, apply ice fomentation on affected part for 5-10 minutes a day.

Hi sir I am 30 yrs. I had started back pain prblm in 2010 it was a disk problem I took many treatment like psychologists, streaming, and medicals it was little effective but since last 2years my right leg is too much paining some time left leg also I took treatment the doctors told me prlbm of blood thickness. Currently I am using ayurvedic medicine but not effective. Sir please give advise and tell me which medicine or tablet can be effective. Thx.

hello Lybrate user ,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms.The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups : they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking , meditation , eating healthy. P.S : Try to avoid pain killers ( Analgesics ) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you

Seated Hamstring Stretch While sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds Repeat 3 times for each leg. Piriformis Stretch 1.Lie on your back. 2.Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3.Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. 4.Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5.Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6.Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

I met with an accident and my left foot got affected near the toe, I thought it was fracture or perhaps ligament was broken, but it was not. I took medicines but still not cured and the place is still swollen and as the days passes by, the pain increasing. Please advice what should I do as the pain reached upto my knee.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Pay attention to your posture and keep yourself warm if pain is very sever consult a good orthopaedic doctor and get checked.

I have groin strain. Means I feel like my groin muscles to be pulled or tight. And I feel the feeling of something pulled always. Checked every other possibility .No hernia nothing else. How to heal it.
