ITis not a cancer. IT is not a As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Simple Knee Exercies Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

I am 37 years old. Height 6 feet. Weight 78 kg. I feel pain in my foot in the morning. It gets okay within 30 minutes or so. I also have a feeling that it pains more when I had intercourse at night. My sugar level and bp level are normal. What should I do?

General Physician (AM)
Alternative Medicine Specialist, Chandigarh
Your foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 tendons. Foot pain has a number of causes that are typically associated with overuse of the bones. You can strain your foot by pounding it on hard surfaces, being overweight, or wearing shoes that do not fit properly. These strains can irritate the foot bones, muscles, or tendons. Rest as much as possible apply ice to the affected part for 10 to 15 minutes twice a day use over-the-counter pain medications. Wear shoes that fit properly wear night splints, a special device that stretches the foot while you sleep use heel cups or shoe inserts to reduce pain. Take an x-ray to determine the cause of your pain, requires detailed questioning so as to ascertain your personality and to treat you symptomatically. Treatment is available, safe and without side effects in biochemic system of medication. Consult me in private.

Experiencing pain in and around the waist area extending upto the thigh and calf muscles.

BHMS
Homeopath, Chennai
Experiencing pain in and around the waist area extending upto the thigh and calf muscles.
Injuries inflicted to the upper hip or waist area can cause pain and are possible symptoms of a dislocation or fracture of the hip, an inguinal hernia, a sprain or strain, pinched nerves, or tendinitis. Patients with a herniated disk, spinal stenosis, types of bone cancer and leukemia may also experience pain in the waist and upper hip area. Forms of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis situated near the waist and upper hip, can be a common culprit of discomfort. Pain that stems from the abdominal or waist region and travels to the hip area could be caused by minor digestive problems or pulled muscles. In more severe cases, this pain could be a symptom of appendicitis, irritable bowel syndrome, lead poisoning, intestinal obstruction, Crohn's disease, pelvic inflammatory disease or sickle cell anemia. High levels of ketones in the blood could also contribute to upper hip or waist area pain.

Hiiii sir I am 45 year old male I have some problem in back. Sometimes it pain heavier please tell me solution of it.

Hiiii sir
I am 45 year old male I have some problem in back. Sometimes it pain heavier please tell me solution of it.
Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture Most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility.

You can do exercise that do not involve weight bearing on your legs. You can lie down on an exercise mat and raise your legs in air to do leg exercises like air cycling. It costs you nothing and works out all the parts of body. Swimming is an excellent exercise in this regard.

I am suffering from severe back pain in the past few days. Now I think it is a fracture. What should I do now?
This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure kati basti. Do this for five days with medicated oil if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. You will definitely get good result.
