Apply ice twice a day and any diclifenac gel if not relieved kindly consult your nearby Orthodontics doctor for some analgesics and may be x-ray.

Walking won't affect much but while dieting see that your calcium and protein is sufficient else nutritional deficiency might hamper your healing progress.
