Afraid of cavities? Chew some gum!

Afraid of cavities? Chew some gum!
As many people eat food away from their home, it may not be easy to floss or use a mouthwash to gargle. A great alternative is to chew a sugar-free gum immediately after eating. This is something that could be carried around easily, and could supplement the oral care routine. It helps reduce the risk of cavities.

Research has shown that chewing sugar-free gum for 20 minutes after eating or drinking can help reduce tooth decay risk by up to 40 percent !

My mouth was getting bad smell even after brushing regularly. And my throat was releasing some bad content through mouth. At that time my nose and throat are not clear. Please suggest what to do?

Hi, you might be suffering from some kind of throat infection and/ or gum infection...Take advice from an ENT surgeon and get a regular dental check up and cleaning (scaling) done..you should be fine....Take care..

Munching foods like apples, pears, carrots or celery after brushing can help in preventing discoloration as they trigger tooth-bathing saliva which helps in keeping the teeth whiter.

Gum diseases can be treated and reversed in their initial stages very easily. By getting the accumulated tartar and plaque removed by a dentist, there is a chance that they can get better without much ado.

You can exercise for healthier gums as well. Gently bite down so as to make sure that your teeth make a clinking sound when they meet. Repeat this 30 to 40 times continously. This exercise will stimulate the flow of blood and will keep your gums healthy.

Clean in between your teeth using interdental brushes or floss. This will help to clean a higher portion of the tooth and prevent the build-up of plaque.
