Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do stretching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you don't get relief consult physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

hi vipul. For dandruff problem you should have a lot of water in your diet as it can be die to dryness of the scalp. Wash your head with a mild herbal shampoo 2-3times a week. Allow me to quote the legendary Michael Jackson here, “YOU ARE NOT ALONE”. Low backache is one of the commonest ailments globally. Although it varies in intensity, almost all individuals at some point in their life or the other undergo low backache.

A very common question we face at our centre is, “Will I be able to resume weight training ever?” Justifiable apprehension as the last thing they (and we) want is a relapse.

The following are some precautions which can allow one to exercise safely post severe backache.

1) Doctor: Consult a medical doctor / orthopaedic surgeon before commencing your exercise programme.

2) Physiotherapist: Sit down for a detailed counselling and understanding of the problem with your Gym – Physio and set goals accordingly.

3) Start slow: Gradual loading is the key to a successful exercise programme.

4) Rehabilitative exercises first: Your trainer is advised to integrate rehabilitative exercises in your programme at the offset.

Hi, take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9 hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regularly massage head and hair with coconut oil, almond oil (depending upon your scalp type) 1 to 3 times a week. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! medication: take homoeopathic medicines - schwabe's wiesbaden 200 & alfalfa tonic twice a day for 3 months. Use schwabe's arnica shampoo and hair growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use bakson's arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash. Beside this, you can take one tablet of multivitamin folli hair once daily for 3 months.

Dear lybrate user, * add protein containing items in your foods for healthy hair growth such as take a bowl of cereal daily and a glass of milk or 100 gm cheese or 1-2 eggs. * stress is one of the main cause of hair fall. To reduce hairfall, practice yogasana like shirshasana and sarwangasana only under the guidance of expert. * you can use mahabhringraj tel and apply it 3 times in a week massage your scalp for 10 to 15 minutes daily. It increases blood circulation in your scalp and enhances hair growth. * avoid the excess use of products such as hair colours or shampoo as they cause destruction of hair follicles. *take vitamin-e rich foods like dry fruits (almonds, pista etc) daily. * apply the egg yolk to the scalp atleast once a week. Can stress really cause hair fall?

You must have noticed the fact that when you are stressed, you experience a bunch of other physical problems too!

Fatigue, lack of concentration, and headache among others are some of the symptoms you may experience when under stress. But, did you know that the culprit behind your constant hair fall may also be stress? yes, stress can be held responsible for hair loss, but hair loss caused by it is not permanent and can be prevented easily.

Why stress causes hair fall?

Studies reveal that physical stress or trauma sometimes disturbs the hormonal balance of the body, which eventually leads to hair loss. This is caused due to a disturbance created in your natural hair growth and rest cycle. Generally, the human scalp consists of 80 to 90 percent of actively growing hair follicles. The remaining 10 to 20 percent hair follicles lie in the resting phase. Stress interferes with this natural balance of hair growth and may give rise to a temporary period of hair loss.

Which stress triggers can cause hair fall?

Contrary to the popular misconception, mild stress caused due to everyday happenings does not generally lead to hair fall. Long term stress caused due to important life events like pregnancy, a major physical injury, chronic illness, chronic emotional stress, a significant surgical procedure to name a few may lead to hair loss. Moreover chronic stress experienced due to a disturbed relationship, troubles at workplace, and financial problems are also known to contribute to hair fall.

Which types of hair loss may be triggered by stress?

High stress levels are known to be the cause behind the following types of hair loss:

? telogen effluvium: when your stress level reaches a significant point, it affects your hair growth by increasing the number of hair follicles in resting stage. If stressful conditions prevail for a few months, you may experience hair loss even while just combing or washing your hair.

? alopecia areata: there are numerous causes of the condition alopecia areata, stress being one of them. This condition results in hair loss due to the immune system attacking the hair follicles, thinking of them as foreign and harmful invaders.

How to prevent hair loss due to stress?

In most cases it has been observed that hair loss caused by stress is temporary and reduces once the person is free from severe stress or trauma. With diminishing stress levels, the body functions normally, causing the hair growth cycle and hormonal balance to return back to normalcy, in turn minimising hair fall.

Hair loss due to stress may be easily prevented by bringing few changes in your lifestyle, which will keep your body fit and healthy. The following steps can be taken to regulate your stress levels and keep hair loss at bay:

- plan your diet in such a way so that it contains vegetables, fruits and proteins in ample amount.

- take proper care of your hair, especially during and after using styling products.

- try to keep yourself relaxed in all situations. You can opt for techniques like deep breathing or meditation to do so.
