You can easily get it fixed. Braces, filling or even crowns/veneers can be placed to cover this gap. The exact solution will depend on the severity of your problem. Visit a dentist for the same.

For healthy teeth and gums, we recommend tooth pastes clinically approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) as they thoroughly test all the dental products in their laboratory. ADA is known for being the pioneer in the field of oral and dental health care.

I have bad wisdom tooth ache. My dentist suggested me to remove all 4 tooth from both the sides. But I have pain only on both side of lower tooth. If I had to get it removed how much it would cost for single tooth to be removed?

Hello lybrate-user. Wisdom tooth sometimes can b sumberged in bone. And do not erupt to full height. And can cause trouble to patients. Pain ,swelling, in that region. And it can sometimes be present in bone in some other direction except for vertical. Causing harm to adjacent tooth structures and tissues. So need to get them extracted. Can answer better after having a look at you X-ray.

Hello, I have some cavity in my teeth. So I need help. I am really surfing from a bad pain of this cavity. So please help me how I can make my teeth, cavity free. I already tried many paste for this, buy they did not worked. Thanks.

PERIODONTIST, B.D.S.
Dentist, Navi Mumbai
Hi lybrate-user if you have bad pain then first take analgesics. Then take a appointment from dentist for filling of cavities. The tooth causing bad pain will definitely go for root canal treatment. Tooth pastes are preventive measures means it will prevent cavity formation but it won't help you in cavities which are already present in teeth. After your treatment, you can use any fluoride containing tooth paste it will help you in further prevention of cavities.

Eating Habits
Proper nutrition is necessary for healthy teeth and gums. Eating a well-balanced diet gives gum tissues and teeth the important nutrients and minerals needed to stay strong and resist infections. Soft, sticky foods tend to remain on the grooves and between teeth. Hence thorough rinsing after every meal is necessary.

Tooth Decay - 6 Ways Ayurveda Can Help!

Tooth Decay - 6 Ways Ayurveda Can Help!

The most common problem affecting the mouth is caries which happens as a result of bacteria acting on the food deposits on the teeth, which produces acid that attacks the tooth structure. The result is loss of tooth structure and formation of pits and cavities which allows more food deposits and causes more decay.

Decay development depends on a number of factors including heredity, tooth structure, oral hygiene habits, food habits, etc. There are certain simple things that can be done at home which can delay the onset of the decay and also reduce its progression and severity.

If that sounds interesting, read on to know more.

  1. Clove and sesame oil: Clove oil is known for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antibacterial properties. A few drops of clove oil mixed with half teaspoon of sesame oil can be dabbed on the affected tooth with a cotton ball. This can be repeated every night, both for relief as well as for preventing further decay spread. Alternately, a whole clove can be chewed for some time and then placed under the tongue for continued relief.
  2. Salt: Known for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties, use a rinse made with salt and warm water and swish around the affected tooth at least 3 times a day. Alternately, make a paste of salt and lemon juice and apply on the affected tooth.
  3. Garlic: A paste with about 4 cloves of garlic and rock salt applied on the affected tooth provides great relief. Raw garlic can be eaten regularly for multiple benefits, including prevention from tooth decay. Rubbing raw garlic on the affected tooth also provides temporary relief from pain.
  4. Neem: Still used as a toothbrush by many rural people, chewing on a tender neem bark yields powerful oils and compounds that help keep the teeth against bacterial attack. The high fiber content is also effective against reducing plaque formation.
  5. Swishing with oils: Sesame, coconut or sunflower oil can be used for this purpose. On an empty stomach in the morning, use a tablespoon of one of these oils to swish for about 10 minutes, take care not to swallow it. This should be done before brushing the teeth. This helps reduce gum disease, bad breath and reduce cavities.
  6. Mustard oil: Two teaspoons each of mustard oil and rock salt can be mixed and applied to the tooth regularly for relief from dental decay pain.

The next time you have a tooth ache, it is not always necessary to rush to the dentist. Try these home remedies to get some relief, which will give you time to go to the dentist.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!
