Sensitive Skin - How To Handle It Well?

Sensitive Skin - How To Handle It Well?

Sensitive skin can make life miserable. Factors such as environmental and climatic changes, certain beauty products and medications can affect individuals with sensitive skin. There may be skin inflammation, irritation, rashes, redness, dryness and flakiness. The extent of the sensitive reaction can vary from one individual to another. In many cases, it has been observed that sensitive skin appears to be thinner than normal skin. Thus, people with such delicate skin type need to be extra careful. Do not try self-medication. It will make things worse. Always seek expert advice. A dermatologist knows what is best for your skin.

People with sensitive skin need to follow some basic skin care regimes.

* It is very important to keep a sensitive skin hydrated and moisturised all the time. A dehydrated skin not only appears tighter but also results in extreme skin dryness and irritation. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water daily. It is very important to flush out the toxins and maintain alkaline skin pH. Avoid taking very hot water or ice baths. The extreme temperatures will do your skin more harm than good. A warm water bath is an excellent option. Apply generous amounts of moisturiser, whenever your skin feels dry and itchy.

* It is best to avoid products that are harsh on your skin. Consult a dermatologist before using products containing alpha hydroxyl acids. These are strong acids and their application can lead to skin irritation and rashes. It is a healthy practice to keep your skin clean. However, not all soaps are suitable for sensitive skin. Soaps (strong alkali) are a big no. It is best to use a medicated soap, specially formulated for sensitive skin. To cleanse your face, use a mild (soap free) face wash or a cleanser.

* For people with sensitive skin, it is best not to experiment with the skin care products. Play it safe, stick to the brands you have been using for long. Certain beauty products are strongly fragranced. These can trigger severe skin and allergic reactions. Lanolin, artificial mineral oil and alcohol-containing products are no better. It is best to use natural and herbal skin care products.

* Do not use cosmetics and beauty products beyond a certain period of time. Face powders, silicone based foundations, sunscreen (titanium oxide or zinc oxide based) are best for sensitive skin. These products are known to be less harsh and thus have little or no side effects.

* Before using any products, know the ingredients and chemicals that go into its manufacture.

You can do the following to ease the symptoms of psoriasis 1. Prevent dry skin use a humidifier to keep the air in your home or office moist. This can help prevent dry skin before it starts. Sensitive skin moisturizers are also great at keeping your skin supple and preventing plaques from forming. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me. 2. Avoid fragrances most soaps and perfumes have dyes and other chemicals in them that may irritate your skin. They can make you smell great, but they also can inflame psoriasis. 3. Eat healthfully diet may play a role in managing psoriasis. Eliminating red meat and fatty snacks may help reduce flare-ups triggered by such foods. Cold water fish, seeds, nuts, and omega-3 fatty acids are known for their ability to reduce inflammation. 4. 5. Soak your body hot water may be an irritant for your skin. However, a lukewarm bathcan soothe the itching and infiltrate scales and plaques. Moisturize immediately after your bath for double benefits. 5. Reduce stress any chronic condition like psoriasis can be a source of stress. This can often turn into a vicious cycle because stress itself can worsen psoriasis symptoms. In addition to reducing stress whenever possible, consider incorporating stress-reducing practices such as yoga and meditation. 6. Avoid alcohol alcohol is a trigger for many people who have psoriasis. 7. Stop smoking avoid tobacco. Smoking may increase your risk of psoriasis. If you already have psoriasis, it can also make your symptoms more severe. For this homeopathic treatment is very effective for more details you can consult me.

Acnes are because of some internal problem. By applying soap/ face wash/ ointments, its not going to get treated. As soap etc only remove dust etc on external surface. To prevent pimples, eat fresh fruits, green vegetables, drinking plenty of water should be an essential part of your routine and intake of oily fried foods, an excess of sugar-salt should be avoided. Don't peal pimples, as they tend to leave scars.

Don't peal pimples, as they tend to leave scars. Simple honey mask before applying this mask, rinse your face with warm water to open up pores. Then apply honey and leave it on the skin for 30 minutes. Rinse the honey off with warm water; then rinse again with cold water to close the pores. Yeast and yogurt mask for oily skin oily skin is prone to acne, and this home remedy can reduce excess oil and help clear acne. To make the mask, combine 1 teaspoon of brewer's yeast with a little plain yogurt to create a thin mixture. Apply it thoroughly to all the oily areas and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water; then use cold water to close the pores. For permanent cure you need constitutional medicines, for that I need detailed case history. Wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry. Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. You can apply it directly to the affected area listerine: it has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem.
