Warts are outgrowths on the skin caused by a papillomavirus (HPV) infection. It is a contagious disease, which infects broken skin, cuts and sores, thus entering the body and creates solid blister like warts, especially on the hands and feet. The different kinds of warts include common (occurring on hands), plantar, mosaic, filiform, genital, flat and periungual (below nails) and laryngeal (in throat). There are plenty of surgical procedures to remove the various types of warts. However, it is not usually tumorous or cancerous or harmful like moles.
HOW IS WARTS DIAGNOSED?
Sometimes liquid nitrogen treatment is effective in freezing and removing the warts.
