Streptococcus bacteria, a group A bacteria causes scarlet fever which is characterized by red rashes along with fever and sore throat. It is an airborne virus and spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It causes headaches, vomiting and a white coating on the tongue. It can also cause long term complications like pneumonia, skin infections and rheumatic fever.
