No matter humans what age, everyone likes to step into the small puddles while showering in the rain. But what we tend to ignore is the ever increasing skin infections that come with the joy of soaking in the rain. Now, that the monsoon is about to exit our weather, it’s important that we take care of these infections with a gleam on our faces. These infections generally occur due to our interaction with bacteria and fungi present in the rainy puddles. Occasionally, these grow in the areas where a lot of moisture is contained but not sanitised. A lot of our stuff, including clothes and organic stuff tend to be the soft target of these microorganisms and yet, we can do little to keep them away. However, we can treat or prevent infections caused by these microorganisms on our skin. In this article, we tell you about three ayurvedic home remedies that you can easily use to treat your skin better or prevent it from going any worse.

Treat Infections With The Neem Paste -

Ayurveda has always trusted neem for its antimicrobial properties. Time and again, neem has been used as one key ingredient to disinfect the wound and maintain the hygiene around it. You can simply take a few neem leaves, grind it to a paste and apply it all over your affected area. It will reduce the redness and swelling along with taking care of the microbes.

Dry The Wound With The Tea Tree Oil -

Once you have disinfected your wound, it is important that you keep it dry and condense it with the help of a drying agent like tea tree oil. Known for its anti-microbial and acne healing properties, tea tree oil is one of the best skin products you’ll ever lay your hands on. We recommend you to soak a cotton ball in the tea tree oil lightly and dab it around your disinfected wound. It will help in quickly healing the infection.

Use Camphor In A Moisturising Carrier Oil -

Finish your daily healing routine with a camphor infused carrier oil that can moisturise your skin. You can always opt for coconut oil, almond oil or any oil of your choice that suits your skin better than others. You can grind a few camphor cubes and mix it with the oil in a 100ml container. Moisturise your skin with this whenever you feel the need.
