This can be a simple boil or dangerous hirradenitis supparitiva. If it clears in 3-5 days most likely a boil. Else visit a dermatologist.
You can do hot fomentation locally in arm pit. Apply a antibacterial cream ; candid powder is just a add on.

Hi, some of the common reasons for recurrent boils/furuncles is underlying bacterial infection and factors like diabetes, obesity, weak immunity and certain medication which decrease immunity increases the risk of problem. Try not to burst the boils and make sure proper hygiene is maintained. Please get the blood sugar levels checked for your mother.

It could be due to infection /lymph nodes/ boil.
Anti inflammatory/ painkiller medicine might give you symptomatic relief.
Antibiotics r required in cases of infection. Get it clinically checked.

For draining the boil go for hepar sulph 200 once daily -3 drops for pain - belladonna 200 -3 drops in 1 tsf water- 3 times a day
for softening that- calc flour 3 x- 3 times-4-4-4.
