Sir I am 44 years, 174 cm and 85 kg person. My bmi is quite higher than the acceptable limit of 25. I run every alternate say for 5 km but my weight is still at 85 kg for last one year. How can I reduce weight? I can not do more than running 5k? Is it like that after certain age weight is not reduced despite exercise?

You need to take high fiber low fat diet followed by detox diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Do crunches and pushups daily to reduce belly fat. Ask me privately for customized diet plan for you.

No, it won't help acne and scars. It is a moisturiser containing urea. Should not be applied on the face.

1.no alcohol2. Reduce body wt 3. No smoking/ tobacco 4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice 5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily 7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night 8. Expose your body to sun for 15-20 mts daily after some oil massage to get vit d. 9. Take more water- proper hydration. 10. Laugh for 2 mints be positive and interact with friends and relatives. Dear Lybrateuser, - To develop your muscles & physique you have to consume a well balanced diet with more of protein rich foods & do regular exercise - have more of fruits, vegetables including green leafy ones, whole grains, protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, nuts, soya products, tofu - regular exercise such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, pushups, pull ups, squats, crunches, do moderate weight lifting for 15-20 min twice a week.

Hi, I don't get a sound sleep, its been 1 months now, I went 4 a checkup but d doctor said because you have a tension, I don't, I know myself, I have try everything eating lesser at night, wearing loose clothes, not 2 eat spicy at night etc but it does not help, what to do please help?

For good sleep, just try out these simple ways - 1. Stick to a sleep schedule- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music. Go back to bed when you're tired. Repeat as needed. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink - Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Your discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. 3. Create a restful environment - Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Doing calming activities before bedtime, such as taking a bath or using relaxation techniques, might promote better sleep. 4. Limit daytime naps - Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. If you choose to nap, limit yourself to up to 30 minutes and avoid doing so late in the day. 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine - Regular physical activity can promote better sleep 6. Manage worries - Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety.
