Do regular exercises along with balanced diet. Drink a cup of warm milk daily night. Take bhrahmi vati and ashwaganda vati 2 tabs twice in a day after meals. Applying coconut oil on soles while going to bed will bring sound sleep every day.

Dear user. I can understand. You are HEALTH ANXIOUS, it seems. Hypochondriasis is an Obsession with the idea of having a serious but undiagnosed medical condition. Health anxiety is not a serious mental disorder but without proper treatment the person affected could be depressed and continuously engaged in negative thoughts. I suggest online counseling, cognitive Behavior Therapy and Relaxation therapy. Take care.

What is the difference between Hookah smoking and cigarette. Does Hookah with flavor harms body? Kindly give some deep insight about that. Because over the internet there are different different perspective and it's quite confusing.

In hookah smoke passes through water which was thought to filter out harmful chemicals but that is now not known to be true. Hookah may actually be more harmful because of the long smoking duration!

Dear lybrate-user. I do understand what you wanted to ask. Ladies in general are not much interested in sex. They are not like men. Most men even masturbate while not having sexual intercourse. Most women are not interested in that aspect. So no misunderstandings, please. Take care.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Geriatric psychology is a vast area of psychology. Old aged people has many problems. As you mentioned, they are unable to take any physical exercises, go out and mingle with society, they are neglected by their kith and kin, they will have host of physical illnesses, they see their deteriorating physical strength, motor abilities and even mental abilities. Moreover, they are not employed and do not have activities to fruitfully pass their time. In these eventualities, it is more than normal to have disappointment and related depression. The only way out of this situation triggered depression is to engage yourself actively in social activities, read books, write stories or novels, engage in possible hobbies etc. External motivation is hard to come by. But you can be self motivated. Take care.

Are you suggesting that your parents are an impediment to this career you have chosen? if so there must be reasons for their disapproval: the dangers of this career, or the lack of job and money-making opportunities etc. These could be valid concerns and you will need to prove them otherwise. Obviously you need some support and the best support I can think of is to get it from your mountaineering club or association and have one of the coaches or guides to come meet with your parents and have a talk. Now about this getting hyper, you know that that is not a solution and behaving rationally is the only way through this. No one will take you seriously, if you let your emotions get the better of you. You could also do career guidance counseling and attempt some tests in aptitude determination and take that also as evidence, if it points in this direction. The counselor will be willing to meet with your parents to help bring them around too. In all this you must approach it with a sensible mind and hold your emotions in check. Nothing should be obtained by blackmail: neither by your parents nor by you.

U can say her you r my good news . U came in life and my life is now beautiful . Becoz of you . If she making lunch dinner tell her you cook nice . 1.Talk to her respectfully without demeaning her or hurting her feelings. 2. Find something that makes you laugh together. 3. Put your arms around her when she needs comfort, holding her silently. 4.Surprise her by doing something you think she would want done before she asks. 5. Show interest in that which she values as important in her life. 6.Be a good listener. Show her you value what she says. 7.Plan a mini-honeymoon, where the two of you can spend quality time together. 8.Go shopping with her and don’t sigh or look at what time it is even once. 9.Be especially helpful when she is not feeling well. 10.When she asks how your day went, don’t just say “fine” —actually give her details. 11. Don’t embarrass her by arguing with her in front of others. 12. Make eye contact when she is talking to you and when you are talking with her. 13.Surprise her from time-to-time with a card and flowers or a little gift. 14.Give her your undivided attention when she wants to talk. 15.Sit close to her —even when you are just watching television. 16.Do not making plans without her agreeing with them 16. Ask her and then listen to what makes her fearful and insecure (without judging) 17. Be careful to choose your words, especially when angry. 18.Hold her close and verbally express your love when she is hurt or discouraged. 19. Allow her to express herself freely, without fear of being called illogical or dumb. 20. Fix dinner for her sometimes. 21. Tell her (and show her) you love her often. 22.Don’t ignore the small things that bother her and let them build into bigger issues. 23.Call, email or text her when you’re apart so she knows you are thinking of her. 24.Show her affection without sexual intentions. Take care of her.

I have become very lazy and I do not feel...
Hi lybrate-user, generally we desire to be idle, to do nothing and resist effort. It is a state of passivity and of letting things stay as they are. Simple tips for overcoming laziness: 1) break down a task into smaller tasks we often avoid tasks because we find them too big, too overwhelming, too tiring, or taking too much of our time. Breaking a task into several smaller tasks can solve this problem. Then, each one will not seem so difficult or intimidating. Instead of having one big task, we will have a series of small tasks, which do not require too much effort. This approach can be applied not only to tasks, but also to goals and everything else we have or need to do. This will tend to melt much of the laziness and inner resistance we often experience. 2) rest, sleep and exercise in some cases, laziness is due to being tired and lacking energy. If this is true in your case, you need to give yourself the rest and sleep you need, and also give your body enough exercise and fresh air. 3) motivation in some cases, the reason for laziness is due to lack of motivation. You can strengthen your motivation through affirmations, visualization and thinking about the importance of performing your task or chore or achieving your goal. 4) have a vision of what and who you want to be frequently reflecting on the person we want to be, the goals we want to achieve, and the life we want to live, can motivate us to act. 5) think about benefits think about the benefits you will gain if you overcome your laziness and take action, instead of thinking about the difficulties or obstacles. Focusing on the difficulties of carrying out the task, leads to discouragement, avoidance of taking action and to laziness. It is important that you focus your mind and attention on the benefits, not on the difficulties. 6) thinking about the consequences think about what will happen, if you succumb to laziness, and don't perform your task or chore. Thinking about the consequences of not acting, can also push you to take action. 7) doing one thing at a time focus on doing one thing at a time. If you feel you have a lot to do, you will probably feel overwhelmed and let laziness overcome you, instead of you overcoming laziness. 8) visualization your imagination has a great influence on your mind, habits and action. Visualize yourself performing the task easily, energetically and enthusiastically. Do so before starting with a task or goal, and also when you feel lazy, or when your mind whispers to you to abandon what you are doing. 9) repeat affirmations tell yourself" I can accomplish my goal" I have the energy and motivation to act and do whatever I want or have to do" doing things makes me stronger" doing things makes things happen. 10) regards a task as an exercise consider each task as an exercise to make you stronger, more decisive and more assertive. 11) procrastination avoid procrastination, which is a form of laziness. If there is something you have to do, why not do it right now and get through with it? why let it stay nagging at the back of your head? 12) learn from successful people watch successful people, and how they do not let laziness win. Learn from them, talk with them and associate with them. Overcoming the habit of laziness is achieved through a series of daily actions and activities, when you choose to act, instead of remaining passive. Every time you overcome your laziness you get stronger. Every time you choose to act, you increase your ability to win, achieve goals and improve your life. If you have any further query do get back.

You need to look back to see what went wrong the last time and learn some lessons from it. For the depression you must visit a counselor and see how serious it is and get some help for that. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive everyday and learn to be contended with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved. Here are some things you can do to get back your concentration and memory: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

From very childhood I cannot remember poetry, songs. Though I have done well in academics & well established in a private company. Dear Lybrate user, At your age, Memory problems like amnesia are not common. Many young people are having problems with memory. These problems are either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. You need to understand this. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. If you want more of my help in this regard, please contact me. Take care.

Dear you should follow my these instructions seriously to make life free of depression -. * on getting up every morning, just stand in front of mirror and say you are happy and you can do anything. By saying these words, you get positive energy about yourself and that makes you feel better. * in morning and evening, take a little time for meditation. You just have to sit in a peaceful place, close your eyes and take long breaths in and out. While breathing just concentrate on breathing only and do it for atleast 10-15 minutes daily. * when ever anything make you feel stressed, do not try to hide it. Just go to your parents or the nearest person you trust most and talk to him/her about the problem and discuss it very clearly. It will solve the problem and make you feel that you are not alone in the world. *join the charity functions and help those persons which are so poor and can not afford their meal and other daily routine things. Helping other make you feel inspired and boost your confidence level. * go to the temple or any nearest religious place who you believe daily. Going to that place daily give you positive energy and bless your life by the grace of god. Apply these things in your life and I assure you that you feel that your life have changed completelyy and you live your life with full confidence.

Chronic Depression - Tips to Help You Manage

Chronic Depression - Tips to Help You Manage

Are you suffering from extreme depression? Does your depression episode continues for a long time and makes you feel too tired to get out of bed? Chronic depression is capable of turning your life upside down, causing turmoil with all your activities, thereby, spoiling your regular life totally. At times, a person can get so drained by depression that getting out of bed seems impossible because of fatigue. It is quite difficult to deal with such situations.

Here are some important tips on how to overcome your chronic depression and get out of bed.

  1. Be depressed upright: It is likely to be driven by the voices in your head during your depression. You should respond by replying to the voices that you are depressed, but you are going to be depressed outside. This is important, as activity and depression do not go well together. You should try to stop your thinking totally and put yourself in an automatic mode. Preparing to deal with thoughts from before is beneficial. When your body is in motion, it is easier to deal with the thoughts.
  2. Try to make it to the shower: When you do not feel like leaving your bed at all, you should try making it to the shower somehow. Taking a shower makes you a bit relaxed and diverted and you can expect relief from your depressive episode. This is an effective way to get yourself up and running from bed, instead of isolating yourself under the blanket. Taking a shower might bring you some hope and encourage you to step out of bed and do something productive. Even if you decided to be in bed all day strictly, a refreshing shower is likely to change your mind.
  3. Bribe yourself: You can try bribing yourself as a reason for getting out of bed. You can remind yourself how good you will feel after having a cup of hot coffee, or how nice it would feel to listen to a certain song while going to work.

It is important to give yourself a purpose or reason to get out of bed. Many people believe that they might feel like leaving the bed in spite of being heavily depressed, if they had a worthy purpose. It is very important for you to get involved in something. You might hate a job, or hate working, but it will give you a reason to divert from your depressive thoughts. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a psychologist.

Psychologist,
Hello lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. Com I can understand your concerns. As you suffer from cold you find it hard to concentrate on studies. It's common to feel that way alternatively you can approach a holistic method of moving you up. Try to take preventive home remedies before winter season so that you are less affected. Also try to motivate yourself by doing small tasks one at a time as you are finding it difficult to focus on the whole. Also join some yoga and exercise classes as it will help to build strong immunity to fight with the viral attacks as well as motivate you to feel active. All the best.

If he has a habit of watching cartoon channels in tv, or using any other electronic gadgets for playing games, stop them immediately at any cost. And if he complains of such thoughts, just ignore them giving some funny comments without hurting him. This helps reducing anxiety associated with the problem thoughts, and also will reduce the frequency and intensity of such thoughts, if it is the case of attention seeking behaviour. Some children do like that intentionally to attract the attention of parents. If the symptom petsists even after 1month following the above modifictions, consult a paediatric psychiatrist.
