Dear lybrate user,
There is no difference in their mechanism of action. Sizodon is absorbed in the stomach and intestines before getting into blood stream whereas sizodon MD dissolves in the mouth itself and works the same way as sizodon does, if it is put in the mouth. Nothing to worry. Both are same.

Dear Aishwarya,
Aggressiveness may be a part of your paranoid schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia needs to be treated with antipsychotics. There are many different types of antipsychotic available. One had to try few of them before deciding the proper drug and dose. May be soltus 200 did not work that well the doctor changed to risperidone (risdone plus)
Once your paranoid ideas come down, the aggressiveness will be controlled. Please continue treatment and consult the doctor repeatedly.

Dear sir, I am very sorry to hear about your dilemma. Sizodon syrup is a antipsychotic medication. It is approved for treating hyperactivity, irritability, self-injurious behaviour in autism spectrum disorder. As with any other medication, sizodon also has side effects, most commonly weight gain and sedation. The decision of whether or not to continue with risperidone therapy depends on the benefits you are experiencing vs the side effects if any.
Hope this adrresses your concern.

Dear lybrate-user,
bipolar disorder needs to be treated with mood stabilisers. Doubt alone cannot be a psychotic symptom unless it is fixed and irrational. Please consult your psychiatrist again before giving sizodon tablets. Risperidone (sizodon) is available as drops and dispersible tablets. This is for your information.

Dear lybrate-user,
you psychiatrist knows your diagnosis and treatment algorithms. Sizodon or quetiapine is given to augment fluoxetine and atomoxetine - not just for insomnia. They are given at low dose also. Still you need to make lifestyle changes to control your weight, sugar levels and other medical illnesses. (i don't know your age - but I know your weight as 104 kg). Don't worry about withdrawals now - it is a long way.
