About Scud 1000 MG Injection

Scud 1000 MG Injection is used to cure bacterial infections like pneumonia, skin infections, kidney as well as urinary tract infections. Belonging to the drug group known as cephalosporin antibiotics, Scud 1000 MG Injection is also used in treating patients with high fever having a greater risk of an infection, due to the low white blood cell count.

The dosage of Scud 1000 MG Injection would be prescribed by your doctor which in turn depends on your overall health condition, the infection you are suffering from and your body’s reaction to the first dose. In case you are taking this medication at home, ensure that you have complete knowledge regarding the preparation and usage.

Scud 1000 MG Injection may have some side effects like headache, diarrhea and pain, redness or swelling in the area where it has been injected.         Amikacin

        You may experience nausea or vomiting, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain, and fluid retention if these medicines are used together.         Ethinyl Estradiol

        The desired effect of contraceptive pills will not be achieved if these medicines are taken together. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement of the medicine should be made under the doctor's supervision.

        Cholera Vaccine

        You should avoid taking Cholera vaccine for atleast 14 days after taking Scud 1000 MG Injection. Usage of other antibiotics and vaccines should be reported to the doctor.

        Furosemide

        You may experience nausea or vomiting, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain, and fluid retention if these medicines are used together. This interaction is more likely to occur in the elderly population with preexisting kidney disease. Regular kidney function tests are to be performed and appropriate dose adjustments or replacement of the medicine should be made under the doctor's supervision.

        Scud 1000 MG Injection should not be used in patients who suffer from impaired kidney function or have any active kidney disease.

        Colitis

        Avoid if you are suffering from any gastrointestinal diseases such as colitis. Drink plenty amount of water to prevent dehydration.

        Impaired Liver Function

        Use the medication with caution in those who suffer from any liver disease or a family history of liver disease as it can lead to any undesired effect.

        Seizure Disorders

        Patients who have any seizure disorder or a family history of seizures should use some other alternative of Scud 1000 MG Injection in order to avoid any severe side effect.
