ROZAGOLD 10 CAPSULE

The medication is composed of Aspirin(ASA), Rosuvastatin, Clopidogrel. This acts as an analgesics, antipyretics, anti-inflammatories and platelet aggregation inhibitors. It works by interfering with the production of certain compounds in the body that cause pain, fever, inflammation, and blood clots.

The medicine is used to prevent heart attacks, strokes, and chest pain (angina). However, it should be used for cardiovascular conditions only under the supervision of a doctor. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should exercise caution.

This is a prodrug with anticoagulatory properties that is broken down by CYP450 enzymes to its active metabolite that prevents adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from binding to its platelet P2Y12 receptor. This inhibits the ADP-mediated activation of the glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa complex, which in turn inhibits coagulation. It is a selective and competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme that converts 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A to mevalonate, a precursor for cholesterol. The primary site of action of rosuvastatin is the liver, the target organ for cholesterol lowering. Rosuvastatin increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell-surface, enhancing uptake and catabolism of LDL and it inhibits the hepatic synthesis of VLDL, thereby reducing the total number of VLDL and LDL particles.
