Hello lybrate-user, thank you for posting your query. I would like to know her current weight. Children of her age usually have low apetite as their growth rate is low. I wouldnât recommend any medicines to improve apetite, if her weight is appropriate for her age, she is active, playful, doesnât get tired easily, doesnât fall sick frequently pl make sure that she is not constipated, as that would also affect her apetite.

do not take any type of medicine like decadan & practin to increase your weight. Increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. We do not recommend any medicines for weight gain as they may have side-effects. For gaining weight, increase your daily food intake. Try to eat every 2-3 hours. Have healthy and calorie -rich foods. Have rice, roti, dal / non-veg, green veegtable, salad and curd / raita at lunch and dinner. Include paneer / cheese sandwiches, dry fruits, milkshakes, dhoklas, cookies, parathas and other healthy snacks in breakfast and evening snacks.

For increasing your weight Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong , chana , Dal , rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don't apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit and don't take any medication
