Dear user, nervousness or anxiety disorders are a category of mental disorders characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear, where anxiety is a worry about future events and fear is a reaction to current events. These feelings may cause physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and shakiness. There are a number of anxiety disorders: including generalized anxiety disorder, a specific phobia, social anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, and panic disorder among others. While each has its own characteristics and symptoms, they all include symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety medicines alone cannot cure anxiety disorders mainly because medicines do not alter behavior. Behavior change and continuous practice of the changed behavior cure anxiety. I suggest anxiety education, progressive counseling and progressive psychotherapy. I assure you complete cure. For more anxiety / psychology related information and videos please visit and subscribe to this link - url Ly/psychologyforall. I need to know more about your anxiety so that I will be able to diagnose it properly and provide you tips to overcome and manage your anxiety. Take care.

you are very right about normal range of tsh levels. At 8.5 milli units/ml, with normal t4, the condition is classified as sub- clinical hypothyroidism. This normally is not treated with any drugs. Treatment is advised only once the levels cross 10 milli units or there are troublesome symptoms with lower tsh levels. As regards food intake you have to have a balanced diet, but avoid certain foods like - soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, peanuts, radish, mustard and coffee. Consume good deal of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Use whole grain flour for making chapati or roti. Do not use refined flour like maida. If you are taking non- vegetarian diet then take lean meat, skinned chicken and fish. Exercise regularly, that is important. Further, if one is desirous of having conception, then before conception tsh levels have to be brought down to around 2 mill units/ml. Keep that in mind. Thanks for the question.

If your doctor has suggested to cut down on the dosage of your medicines then it is important you follow the instructions (which are based on your reporting of symptoms and doctor's evaluation). Never self prescribe! and if you feel and find it difficult with the dosage please inform your doctor immediately rather than adjusting medicines on your own.

Dear lybrate-user, the change in medicine often makes you uncomfortable for short duration. Gradually anxiety goes away afer 3-4 days. You can wait for few days till you feel better. Doctor might have changed medicine considering some points of your symptoms. I would not be able to solve your problem until I know all your problem in detail. If you have intolerable problem you can either consult me or other psychiatrist. Else you can talk to your own psychiatrist for such complaints.
