Hi Thank you for posting your query I understand your concern
You may use any cream with triple drug combination i.e based on Kligman formula e.g tretinoin+hydrquinone+hydrocortisone in addition to the sunscreen. This formula/combination is preferred for initiation of treatment in melasma and usually produces good results in most patients in about 2-3 months. Thereafter this combination cream based on kligman formula is changed to a milder preparation containing Konica acid for maintenance of improvement.
Sunscreen use is a must for these to be effective.
Creams based on kligman formula/ modified kligman formula are prescription products and should be used under supervision of a dermatologist because they can cause irritation. I
n any case these creams should not be used longer than 2-3 months because they are steroid based. However these creams based on kligman formula are effective for initiation of treatment in melasma because of dramatic and excellent impoivement in melasma.
Some procedures like chemical peels are also effective in treating them It take time for the results to be observed Hope this helps In case you have further query you can discuss on my page with your pictures Regards.
For people with severe acne oral retinoids helps control sebum production and pimples. You may need actibiotics to control active acne like oral doxycycline and local clindamycin creams. Once the acne is under control then you can start treatment for pimple marks which may be pigmentation or scars. There are various treatments for acne scars which include creams, chemical peels, microdermaabrasion, microneedling, radiofrequency, surgery, fat fill laser etc. Creams work only for superficial pigmentation not for scars. You can start initially on milder depigmentation creams which contain kojic acid, arbutin, niacinamide like Melaglow at night and use sunscreen (SPF 35 and above) three times a day. Laser toning using Q switch Nd Yag laser is an option but results variable. You may need 6-8 sessions at 3 weeks gap. And depending on type of skin whether oily or dry you can choose a face wash. It need examination and personalised plan. You can consult in private with photographs.

Vitiligo is a genetic disorder trigger by indigestion and stressful conditions.
There was always confusion in patients mind regarding choosing right treatment approach for vitiligo.
Allopathy can give quick results but is not very safe for long term uses if steroids are used.
Homeopathic is safe but very slow and in most of cases it can not stop the spread of disease i.e old patches shows some recovery but new white patches continue to come even when we are using Homeopathy.
If one think about using Ayurveda there is no good vaidya who is expertise in vitiligo.
At our clinic we have integrated external Allopathic applications with internal Ayurvedic medication to give fast and long lasting results.
Ayurvedic herbal medicines are used to purify blood and stop the spread of disease and external application are capable of quickly start regimentation.
