About Maxtorin 100mg Injection

Maxtorin 100mg Injection is a chemotherapy medicament which may be administered into the blood via injections. It is used widely in the treatments of chronic lymphatic leukemia, non Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma. It is included in World Health Organization’s list of Essential Medicines. Its often used as a sole medicine for the treatment of above mentioned conditioned, or sometimes combinatively with other medications. No tablets or pills are available of this medication. Maxtorin 100mg Injection works by interfering into the cancerous cells and hence the cells cant divide into two and prevent further spread.

Before starting of treatment with Maxtorin 100mg Injection, a blood test is prescribed to observe various factors in the blood including blood count.

This is a strong drug and include various side effects if administered improperly hence doctors supervision is impeccable. Side effects like low blood count, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, diarrhea, skin problems, renal problems may be encountered after administration of Maxtorin 100mg Injection.     The active constituent of this medication behaves as a derivative form of bifunctional mechlorethamine. It forms the electrophilic alkyl groups and these bind covalently to other molecules. As an alkylating agent, it forms crosslinking between DNA bases causing cell death. The exact mechanism is under investigation.
