Lostatin 10Mg Tablet
Lostatin 10Mg Tablet is a statin and a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. If this medicine is taken and a well-regulated diet is followed then it has the power to lower cholesterol and fats. It raises ‘good’ cholesterol levels. It therefore, prevents the chances of heart diseases, heart attacks and strokes. It also slows down blood vessel blockage.
On using Lostatin 10Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as muscle pain, fatigue, kidney/liver/abdominal problems, darkening of urine, headache, skin rash, swelling, dizziness, itchiness, fever, frequent urge to urinate and difficulty in breathing and moving. Seek medical help if your reactions worsen over time.
Before using Lostatin 10Mg Tablet notify your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Lostatin 10Mg Tablet, you have any other allergies, you have history of liver/ kidney/ metabolism/ low blood pressure problems, you suffer from seizures or alcohol abuse, you have had an organ transplant or have high cholesterol, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.
The dosage should be determined by your doctor based on your condition and your age. The usual dose in adults for treating hyperlipidemia is 20 mg taken orally once a day along with your evening meal.

It may cause dizziness. Exercise caution if you have to drive or operate a machinery. -

No dose adjustment is needed for patients with the mild to moderate renal disease. Not advisable in patients with the severe renal disease. -
Does this affect liver function?
Should be used cautiously in patients with an underlying liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

Are there any missed dose instructions?
If you miss a dose of Lovastatin, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Lostatin 10Mg Tablet belongs to a class of statin drug. It is used for treating dyslipidemia and lowering cholesterol for prevention of cardiovascular disease. It acts as an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase which is required for cholesterol synthesis thereby leading to increased cholesterol.
Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.
