Liraglutide

Liraglutide is used along with exercise and diet to help manage weight problems in certain patients. It is a glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1 receptor agonist, and it works by helping the brain to control appetite.

Common side effects of Liraglutide include decreased appetite, constipation, headache, lightheadedness, nausea, irritation at the site of injection, stomach pain, diarrhea, upset stomach and vomiting.

• Does this affect liver function?

  No dose adjustment is needed for patients with the mild to moderate liver disease.Not advisable in patients with the severe liver disease.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  If you miss a dose of Liraglutide, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.\n
