About Dulcoflex 5Mg Tablet

Dulcoflex tablet gives relief during constipation. It stimulates the intestinal mucosa of the colon to induce bowel movement through colon peristalsis.

The dosage of this drug depends on the medical history and the existing condition under treatment. Generally, the adult dose varies between 5 mg and 15 mg daily. The medication may be administered with or without food.

Follow the doctor's advice with regard to the duration of use. Before being prescribed this drug ensure that the patient has no allergies to the components of the medication.

Dulcoflex tablet is not recommended to use by pregnant and breastfeeding a women. The possible side effects of using this drug include abdominal pain, fatigue, diarrhoea, nausea, muscle cramps etc.

It can also result in mood disorders, swelling, skin rash, and drowsiness. Intimate the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Before using Dulcoflex 5Mg Tablet inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to any ingredient contained within this medicine, if you have abdominal pain, constipation, you have issues swallowing without chewing, if you have any allergies to any foods, medicines or substances, you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you are pregnant or breastfeeding a baby.

This medication needs to be taken by mouth with or without food. The dosage should be determined by your physician based on your medical history and current condition. The usual dose in adults is about 5-15 mg taken once-thrice orally per day. While taking this medication swallow it whole without crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet.

Onset of action occurs 6-10 hours after an oral dose or 15-60 minutes after a rectal dose; swallow tablets whole, do not crush or chew; do not take antacid or milk within 1 hour of taking the drug.

It works by stimulating peristalsis by directly irritating the smooth muscle of the intestine, possibly the colonic intramural plexus; alters water and electrolyte secretion producing net intestinal fluid accumulation and laxation.
