About Ditide Tablet

This medication is used for the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension, edema, congestive heart failure and nephrotic syndrome. Exercise caution if you have conditions such as renal impairment, hepatic impairment; hypersensitivity, hypercalcaemia, etc.

Consult your doctor before using the medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Follow the instructions on the label regarding the dosage. Symptoms of overdose include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, urinary problems and drowsiness.

    This medication is a diuretic and antihypertensive agent. It inhibits the sodium-chloride transporter and increases potassium excretion. It also brings about inhibition of epithelial sodium channels on cells which are found within late distal collecting tubule and convoluted tubule. The osmolarity within nephron lumen is increased and osmolarity of interstitium is decreased when the reabsorption of sodium has been inhibited.
