About Cisplatin 50 MG Infusion

Cisplatin 50 MG Infusion is a chemotherapy medication used to treat various types of cancer by restricting the growth of cancer cells. It works in part by binding to and blocking the duplication of DNA. It is a chemotherapy drug that contains platinum. Cisplatin is used together with other medications to treat ovarian cancer, bladder cancer or testicular cancer. It is injected into a vein in your body.

Common side effects include hearing problems, bone marrow suppression, kidney problems, and vomiting. Other serious side effects may include numbness, electrolyte problems, trouble walking, and allergic reactions. Its use during pregnancy is known to harm the baby. This medicine may also increase your risk of developing leukaemia.

Cisplatin 50 MG Infusion is usually given by injection into a vein by a medical professional. The dosage prescribed to you is based on your body size, medical condition, and response to therapy. A course of Cisplatin 50 MG Infusion treatment should not be given more often than once in a month. You may be on a fluid diet for 8 to 12 hours before you receive your medication. During the treatment, drink lot of fluids and pass urine frequently to avoid having any kidney problems. Take extra precaution to make sure the medicine does not come in direct contact with your skin.
