Antibiotics are not needed in asthma if no supraadded infection. Use LABA and ICS combination by inhalation with spacer. Avoid asthma trigers.

The technique of using mdi or pump is not correct probably you can use a spacer with mdi inhaler foracort twice mrng puffs and twice night puffs followed by gargles
asthalin pump can be used 2-2-2 or sos when required nebulisation can be done with lupi neb kit which prevents wastage of nebs / medication

Dear Lybrate User, it is good that you are a health conscious person.
Your present Respiratory problems could be due to your old Chest problem, to confirm it you have to consult a Pulmonologist and get your PFT TEST done.
PFT test will determine whether you are suffering from Asthma now or not, it will also help your Doctor to choose ONE Inhaler for you, which will be your Emergency & Long term therapy.
Wishing you good health.

Hello lybrate-user!
salbair and asthalin have similar action and both are used as needed in bronchial asthma.
While asthalin contains salbutamol, salbair contains levosalbutamol.
Levosalbutamol is a isomer of salbutamol with comparatively lesser side effect potential.

Hello.
To answer your 2 different concerns pl (without knowing why you have been prescribed budesonide for lung? Long term or short term use?).
Budesonide and arvs- since you are using darunavir/ritonavir combo along with budesonide, it would be advisable to avoid budesonide use as its level may get increased, be it in any form, inhaler or spray, by ritonavir.
The preferred alternative is beclamethasone.

Hi Tapan, bronchial asthma unfortunately is not curable, but the triggering factors that cause episodes can be prevented by knowing what they are for example dust or smoke, and by maintaining good general health by good diet and graded exercises.
