I have taken several medicines from different doctors to quit this drug but was not able to overcome it. The last treatment I took was 3 years ago where a doctor recommended me some medicines in which one of the medicine is arkamin 100 mcg (clonidine) .i was not able to overcome opium addiction this time also but instead, I became addicted to arkamin tablets and I start taking it in high quantity along with opium. Now currently I am taking 15 tablets of arkamin 100 mcg along with opium from last 3 years. I really need to quit these both drugs. Please help me. Advise me some good medicines. Is there any better medicines available in homoeopathy? Actually, I want to move on for further studies to abroad next month and I am really worried about my health and I want to leave these drugs behind here and want to start a new life. Please help me.

Hi,
Arkamine is not the medicine which is started initially until you have a derrange kidney.
Arkamine has to be withdrawn gradually and not all of a sudden.
If you are taking it thrice daily than change it to twice daily and then once daily and then stop.
Keep monitoring your bp.

Coversyl Plus HD Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Perindopril and indapamide which lower blood pressure effectively. Perindopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Dear Harshan,
Congratulations for withdrawing from opium. When you could do it, you can try to withdraw from clonidine also. Use all your strengths and coping mechanism. You can go for 12 weekly therapy of motivational enhancement. It can be done online too. Please reduce by 1 tablet every day. Tomorrow 14 tablets, the day after 13 tablets....... In 2 weeks time you will be off clonidine if you continuously motivate yourself. Your goal will be to go abroad without any drug dependence.

It is generally not used as first line of treatment.
Hypertension at 22 years also needs detailed investigations to find out secondary etiologies
if not done you should have creatinine, electrolytes, usg abdomen with renal doppler done. Also get bp checked in both arms and legs.
You can start taking telmisaratan with chlorthalidone 40/6.25 once a day and increase to 80 mg if necessary.
