About Aminophylline

This medication is primarily prescribed for treating asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. The drug relaxes the muscles that surround the air passages, that is, the bronchial tubes of the lungs. This, in turn, allows the tubes to become wider, making it easier to breathe. The medicine also strengthens the diaphragm, which is the key breathing muscles of the body. It is known to be a xanthine derivative.
