I have done BHCG test the result came 1.77 mIu/ml. And it was also noted that sample highly lipemic what does it mean? Will it affects my HCG result?

I have done BHCG test the result came 1.77 mIu/ml. And it was also noted that sample highly lipemic what does it mean...
Test is negative. Either it is too early & conception has not occured because it is 20 mlu/ml just after conception on around 14 days or a few days later, levels rapidly keep rising with time as pregnancy progresses till urine starts excreting hcg hormones to be detected on a strip after 2 days of due date. Anyway better collect a container from the lab, if it is to be tested at home. Do share the good news with us.

Super Fact of the Day: Men experience erections every hour to hour and a half while sleeping!

I got my periods after 6 months of delivery. It weaken me alot and coming with very heavy flow. My baby is still taking breast feed. What can i do to get relief?

Vaidya Visharad
Sexologist, Narnaul
Dear, Menorrhagia is unusually heavy or long menstrual periods. Generally, the menstrual period lasts from 3-5 days and normal flow is between 80-100 ml. If it exceeds this indicate the menorrhagia. Heavy bleeding can lead to an iron deficiency, and ultimately result in anemia other side effects like acne, excessive hair growth and rapid weight gain. Visit us at www.Malhotraayurveda.Com

Dear doctor it is true that after sex women should not pee for 3 hrs if they pee they will not get pregnant.

Dear doctor it is true that after sex women should not pee for 3 hrs if they pee they will not get pregnant.
The only logic is whike they sit for urination because of gravity the semen comes out and the sperm have to move much against the gravity... but there is no such fixed rules... If you are facind difficulties conceiving then after the intercourse put a pillow under her back and let her lie down for half an hour.

I am a 26 Years Female, and I have PCOS Condition, I have kept my weight in check and have a hard time keeping weight in control. Periods are regular most of the time. But want to find a more permanent solution.

Diploma In Postpartum Depression, Formerly , House Job , Gynecology, MBBS

If you have confirmed pcos through blood test and ultrasound, then the better cure for it is weight loss, diet management along with hormonal treatment at least for 9 months to one year. Either one alone does not work. So I advise you to consult your gynaecologist and start medicines.

My wife was pregnant and pregnancy was of 8 weeks. But got miscarriage, so we get abortion done as per doctors suggestion and this has happened twice in one year (last time I. E. 7 months back) abortion was done by medicine). We want to plan for a baby, so pls suggest when can we plan it. I.E how much time gap should we take to plan for baby as abortion has been done last week.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
A-around 15% of pregnancies gets miscarried, that is nature's rule. You should avoid next pregnancy for 6 months from the last abortion. Chances of repeat abortion or pretem delivery increases if one becomes pregnant within 6 months of miscarriage. Also if abortion/ miscarriage was caused by any viral infection, then it will get cured automatically within 3 months time. Use contraception for 6 months. Best one to use are oral contraceptive pills. No special treatment or tests are needed if you had only one miscarriage or spontaneous abortion.

If ultrasonography shows other measurements of foetus as 6 weeks 5 days and heart beats are not seen means pregnancy is not normal. But if you are saying calculation by dates is 6 weeks and 5 days and heart beats are not seen then important to know what are other findings in sonography as it can be delayed pregnancy. Best is to meet Gynecologist.

If the discharge is not fowl smelling or causing itching then there is no reason to worry and you should plan for pregnancy. Otherwise you can use clingen pessary for 3 days vaginally.

Im 28 years my height is 5.3 ft.None of my family member has thyroid disease. My period cycle was 20 days (4 days periods with 1st and 2nd day heavy flow, 3rd and 4th day normal) so I went to gynecologist she advice me to do thyroid test On dated 2 june 17 weight was 52 kg my TSH: 12.88uIU/ml, T3=0.51 ng/ml, T4=4.71ug/dl. I was taking thyrox 75 mcg and observed all symptoms of Thyroid swelling on my face and below chin, irritation, depression almost all the symptoms and weight gained to 57 kg. On 8july 17 TSH= 3.43uUI/ml, FT3=3.19pg/ml, FT4=19.14 pmole/it. And weight gained to 59 kg. From 16th of August started taking thyrox 25 mcg tablet for 16 days and stopped taking medicine from 1st of september. On 8th September TSH 123 ng/dl, T4 9.2 μg/dl, TSH <0.01 μIU/ml From 15th of September to 20th of November I stop taking Thyrox 25 mcg and after that my weight got loss to 54 kg, observed no symptoms of thyroid like before hair fall etc and was feeling better. Now my period cycle is 25 days (Observing 2 days spotting before start of cycle and 1st days normal and 2nd day heavy flow, 3rd day very less and no flow on 4th day) On 20November FT3 0.79 NG/DL, TSH 60uIU/ml, Anti-TPO Ab 597IU/ML Started with Thyrox 25 mcg dose again from 21st of November. Please Advice me for the following My questions are: Is there any difference between thyronorm 25 mg and levothyroxine 25 mcg? Should I decrease my dose to 12. 5 mcg once my TSH get to normal rang? Is this condition likely temporary or long lasting? What treatment do you recommend? How long will I need to take medications? What side effects could I experience from the medications? How to monitor whether my treatment is working? Will I experience long-term complications from this condition? Do I need to change my diet? Is there a generic alternative to the medicine you're prescribing? Swelling on face and body is this will be permanent? When I will start feeling good as I am facing following issues once I start taking medicined=s? Swelling on body, Fast heart rate, feeling short breastfeeding unusually cold weakness, tiredness, sleep problems (insomnia) memory problems, feeling depressed or irritabledryness of your skin or hair, hair loss changes in your menstrual periodsAcidity, weight changes.
