Drolgan tablet helps in treating twitches or spasm of the smooth muscles usually in the stomach and heart. It is used to relieve pain caused due to headache, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual periods. It relieves cervical spasm during labor. This medication is also used for chest pain, abdominal pain, gallstones pain in the kidneys, pain in renal colic and other conditions.

This medication is not recommended in patients with severe heart, liver, and kidney disease. This drug should be used with caution in patients suffering from a genetic disorder of the skin and blood. This medicine works by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase-IV enzymes and helping in restoring the balance of cyclic AMP and calcium ions at the site of spasm at smooth muscles. It also inhibits the action of cyclooxygenase in the brain which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.
