U r nor suffering from cancer. Thick discharge is cervical mucus which is expelled just before menses, to clear the way for mensestrual blood. As you r having backpain along with this, that means menses r going to come soon.

Respected sir/ mam, my aunt has been diagnosed with a condition of endometrial hyperplasia & small uterine fibroid. She is prescribed by a doctor to take some medicines among which is Dear 21 tablet (levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol). She took the tab for a period of 21 days and then stopped taking after which her menstruation cycle began. As she rechecked up with the doctor she was asked to restart the medications for 2 more months. From which day of periods after 3rd day shell she start the first tablet of the pack. And also if you have any better guidance regarding her problem, please suggest.

Your aunt should seek treatment from an experienced gynecologist. Endometrial hyperplasia commonly occurs among women past 35 years and the chances are higher closer to and after menopause. Though it can be resolved through conservative management, it should be monitored carefully because rarely it can lead to endometrial cancer. The conservative treatment involves continuous administration of progesterone (not cyclical), some times up to 5 years. Such long term admin of progesterone has its own side affects so the doctors give other medicines to prevent/minimize those effects. It all depends on the type of the hyperplasia. If it contains atypical cells total hysterectomy is warranted. If no cellular changes are noticed, the above conservative treatment is good enough with half-yearly monitoring of the EM tissue. See a gynecologist.

It is not so the one who has pcos will have infertility as well. Pcos is basically a lifestyle disorder with hormonal imbalance, it does not have complete cure, but it can be managed with lifestyle changes, such as start doing some exercise daily, healthy diet intake without skipping meals, avoid coffee, take fruits, vegetable and dairy products.

I want to know that in period time ipill taking is safe or not. If is it safe then how much.
There is no need only for ipill or any other form of contraceptives during periods as chances of conception are remote. Ipill is an emergency hormonal contraceptive which should be used only sparingly and not more than once in 3-4 months.

How to Become Resilient?

How to Become Resilient?

Life is full of challenges. We all have our own ways of dealing with stress and strains of life. But, a strong sense of resilience can make you different from others. Winners don’t do different things, but they do it differently. That’s what you need to keep in mind. While there are hundreds of strategies to deal with stress, you need to learn the best ones to increase your sense of resilience. The more resilient you are, the better is your chance of succeeding in life. Your power of resilience is like an armour that will guard you in the battlefield of life. Here’s all that you need to know about how to become more resilient. From personal tragedies to occupational hazards, you will be able to deal with everything under the sun by following the tips below:

1. Acceptance towards change: It is important for all of us to accept a simple fact that life is dynamic in nature. Nothing in our lives is permanent. Situations and events change in our lives, bringing occasional bliss or sorrows. Therefore, if you realize the fact that change is an indispensable part of life and be a little flexible, you will automatically become more resilient.

2. Be realistic: You must have a realistic outlook towards life. Don’t let your mind be preoccupied with fanciful ideas or build castles in the air. Realism and pragmatism are the fundamentals to a healthy living. If you have a pragmatic mind and understand the real problems in life, you will not lose hope too soon. Therefore, you will be more resilient than others as you have already prepared yourself for the worst things in life by understanding the reality.

3. Control your emotions: It has been often noticed that when scuba divers drown, they are still left with enough oxygen in their tanks. It is because they have pulled off their oxygen masks at the time of danger. Researchers believe that most of us, when in danger, lose our senses and start panicking. This worsens the situation and aggravates the problems in our lives, destroying harmony and peace. Therefore, a person with better sense of resilience has better control over his emotions as well. Don’t freak out or panic at the time of danger or get depressed over an issue for long. You must have a fighting attitude in life and be prepared to face the worst.

4. Be a good communicator: It is quite true that most of our problems can be sorted out by communication. If you maintain proper communication with people and yourself and keep all channels of communication open, you will have solutions to various problems in life. This boosts your confidence and sense of resilience.

Thanks for the query. Irregular periods can be due to hormonal disbalance or even stress. Before going for complete hormonal analysis you can go for a whole abdomen sonography to rule out ovarian cyst. Review with reports to start with homoeopathic treatment.

Dear lybrate-user, Unexplained infertility causes 30% of all cases of infertility. I would say have you checked your Vit D3 level, TSH level which should be less than 2.5.Our s prolactin should be within normal level. Take folic acid 5 mg per day. If your age is nearing 30 please take ovares SR 75 mg daily, start ecospirin 75 mg per day and have sex every second to third day. Good luck to you kiran.

Calcium rich foods - broccoli, yoghurt, cabbage and milk - should be consumed in higher quantities as they naturally fight muscle spasms and also lessen the pain caused by cramps during menstruation.
