Sisomicin is an antibiotic of the aminoglycoside type. This drug is prescribed mainly to treat eye infections like conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis and a number of other infections caused by bacteria.
This medicine mostly comes in the form of eye drops, and sometimes in the form of a topical cream that can be applied over the area of the skin or eye affected. The drug is also available in an Injectible solution form that may be injected by your doctor into a large muscle.
