Winter is a period of cloudy skies and cold, damp, heavy atmosphere. This is vata- kapha dominant season. Hence a vata- kapha pacifying measures or lifestyle should be followed to remove dryness and to maintain good health:
• Plenty of herbal teas and warm spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper should be consumed in foods and drink.
• Herbs like turmeric and pippali are very good during winter as they fight against infections and strengthen the immune system.
