Muscle Weakness is a condition of reduced strength in one or more muscles. Muscle Weakness may be all over the body or in a particular muscle. It could occur after an injury or stroke or a flare-up of multiple sclerosis. Symptoms are:
• Extreme weakness while using the muscle
• Body pain
• Pain in a specific muscle
• Temporary loss of mobility
• Inability to use muscle in a normal manner
HOW IS MUSCLE WEAKNESS DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis of the same is done by an orthopaedic who would do some tissue and blood tests along with X-rays and strength tests.
HOW IS MUSCLE WEAKNESS TREATED?
While most of the Muscle Weakness can be successfully treated at home, however, in a severe case of Muscle Weakness, doctors may prescribe physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medication to reduce the pain in the muscle.
