Zerodol 100 MG Tablet
This medication is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), prescribed for painful rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It works by blocking the effect of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes which make chemical prostaglandins at sites of injury or damage, causing pain, swelling and inflammation.
This medicine should not be given during pregnancy or to mothers who are breastfeeding. It can cause side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea, constipation, vomiting, skin rashes, etc. If the side effects are severe or persistent it is advisable to consult your doctor.
You should not be taking the tablet if –
- You are allergic to it
- Have stomach or duodenal bleeding
- Impaired kidney or liver function
- Have high blood pressure or blood clotting problems.
How long is the duration of effect?This medicine is excreted in urine and the effect lasts for a duration of 12 to 16 hours.
What is the onset of action?The peak effect of this medicine can be observed in 1.5 to 3 hours after administration.
Are there any pregnancy warnings?This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.
Is it habit forming?No habit forming tendencies were reported.
Are there any breast-feeding warnings?This medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women.
