About Tozen F Eye Drop

Being an aminoglycoside antibiotic, Tozen F Eye Drop kills bacteria to treat different types of severe bacterial infections in the eye.

It is not to be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or to another aminoglycoside antibiotic like gentamicin. If you have hearing, kidney, nerve problems, severe burns and dehydration, let your doctor know. Medicines like penicillin, imipenem, ceftizoxime decrease the effectiveness of Tozen F Eye Drop when taken along with it. On the other hand, medicines like cisplatin, colistin, cyclosporine, and fludarabine increase the side effects of Tozen F Eye Drop.

It is given in an injection form at the doctor’s office or clinic itself. If you are to use it at home, ask all the questions you need to, to the doctor and be sure of the proper procedure. Remember to never reuse needles and syringes. Never take a double dose of Tozen F Eye Drop, it is better that you skip it till the next time you can take it.

You may experience vomiting, nausea, swelling, pain and diarrhea, as a side effect of Tozen F Eye Drop.If you experience vaginal discharge, muscle weakness, seizures, decreased urination and tightness in chest, contact your doctor as soon as possible.

    Tozen F Eye Drop is a blend of two drugs which are Tobramycin and Fluorometholone. Tobramycin is an antibiotic medication which performs its action by obstructing bacterial development in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Fluorometholone is a steroidal drug which inhibits the production of prostaglandins that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
