This medication is a steroidal drug. It prevents the release of certain chemicals in the body that results in inflammation. The drug is quite effective in the treatment of several inflammatory health problems such as gland disorders, lupus, arthritis, psoriasis as well as ulcerative colitis. It also treats various other inflammatory conditions of the lungs, skin, eyes, blood cells, stomach and nervous system of the body.
Because the steroid is strong it can lead to many side effects which gradually disappear as the body adjusts to the drug. Some of these side effects are weakness and slight muscle pain, headache, bloating and discomfort of the stomach. Make sure to contact your doctor if you experience the following-
