Hello sir, Thank you for sharing your problems. Excess salivation (sialorrhoea) may be a mild side effect of sizodon (risperidone). However at 1 mg dosage, this is uncommon. Practicing swallowing frequently in the day, chewing sugar free chewing gums are some methods to reduce increased salivation. There are medications that can reduce increased salivation (glycopyrrolate, atropine drops, trihexyphenidyl). But at this small dose of sizodon, it's not required. Often this side effect reduces by itself over the time, there is no requirement to stop existing medication.

Dear Lybrate user, At your age, Memory problems like amnesia are not common. Many young people are having problems with memory. These problems are either they are too busy or due to anxiety and stress. Busy people use organizers or employ a personal assistant because they can't remember every task. You need to understand this. If you still say, you are having memory problems, we need to check your memory using memory test. If you want more of my help in this regard, please contact me. Take care.

My dad been treated with alcoholism and depression since last one year. he was taking Stablon 12.5,baclofen 10 ,amizep h 12.5, three times and stresnil 0.5 at night. He was good after 3 months. He was reading books. But most of the time he liked sitting and walking. He developed swelling in legs. He started to complain about pain in hands and legs. Also used to say his mind is not working well. After 6 more months he started reducing his daily doses thinking it may help. I ensured he takes at least 2 weeks to reduce any dose. Then after 2 more months he was confused. Standing for hour or sitting in washroom for hour. Wanted to go outside in midnight. Even if he just came from outside he will again like to go outside. We admitted him to psychiatrist, he was given Etizola plus 5, deven la 50 mg, baclofen 20 mg extended release, monotop 50 mg, genecephal trio in morning and excite plus, desvenlafaxine 100 mg, oliza 5, monotop 50 and felicita tab in night. after 3 months he improved in terms of going out. He go out look around himself and come back. And told us there is no one around him now. When asked he told he was seeing 5 ghost like faces earlier. Before this treatment he used to walk very fast like flying. But after this treatment he got slow. After few more days he again started to go outside. So now we went to a neurologist. He prescribed risperidone 2 mg, trihexyphenidyl 2 mg, lorazepam 2 mg, citicoline 500 mg. It really helped him. He was calm now. He started to respond faster than earlier. Memory improved. But issues still not fixed are - 1. He walk and sit like statue, not able to lift legs too much above ground. And walk straight. 2. Less control while walking specially while coming down from stairs. 3.will fall while sitting on ground and standing from ground. 4. Teary eyes as he don't blink eyes much. 5.face looks swelled. 6. Remember many things accurately but don't remember many things like his birthday. However he may remember something now but may forget when asked after few days. 7. Response is better but still slow when asked something.

Hi, I would suggest you to meet the neurologist and ask about the side effects of these medicines. Secondly if the neurologist permits then take help of a physiotherapist. Thirdly give him some memory booster activities like puzzle book or show him many different things for one minute then hide those things. Now tell him to write the name of those things. Take him to some social club. The side effects of medicines might have affected his memory and gait. please do not reduce and medicine without doctor's advice.

hello I am 17 years old male person .i am suffering from some disorder which I do not know correctly ,it may be depression or psychosis .Now I am going to explain my symptoms points wise. This problem started exactly 2 years before. Firstly before 2 years I entered into 10th class with change of my section into a topper class slowly my happiness decreased day to day sadness increased ,day by day my focus and concentration decreased .once upon a time I used to get good marks and high ranks I entered into toppers class then slowly my marks also decreased ,i was not able to focus and concentrate on studies ,cannot getup early in the morning for studies but before I used to study at 1: 00 am in the morning but now those habits all ruined. Slowly day by day I became failure ,i cannot used to understand any lessons ,studies ,classes ,it is all about like my brain had stopped working I thought. I did not even get memories, thoughts, cannot imagine, focus, concentrate ,enjoy ,no laugh ,no cry, no sadness, no happiness, no feelings mainly ,no proper memory power. Like this I have time passed for 5 months. Then one day I tried and did hard work to getup early at 1 am in the morning again and woke up and studied crazily like just reading but not understanding and something like by hearting method for the next day exam .and later appeared for the exam but same situation ,cannot understand the questions ,but slowly slowly I attempted small questions by recalling answers then suddenly I got a feeling like sudden flow of blood into brain I thought my brain started working .yes ,it really started ,suddenly I became active my memory returned ,my thoughts started, my feelings started, my imagination started, my happiness also started then ,quickly I started attempting the questions in no time .exam finished results came I passed in a high rank rank i.e state 6th I thought that this change happened due to my studying at 1 am the before day. So again I started reading and studying books at 1 am everyday. But it gone reverse my brain got slowed day by day ,my 10 th public exam came near ,and a new problem started as like before my brain got stopped for some time during the school time and during small exams then immediately I informed my father about this and within no time we consulted a psychiatrist exactly one day the public exams ,so he given clonazep, and amisulpride tablets ,with that I managed some what during the exams and completed or written the exams with so much hard work, one thing I forgot to mention is that some songs are used to play continuously in my mind and also im itself singing that songs in my heart ,and also during the exam time ,if I not sing songs in my heart the writing of exams may become difficult because without that songs ,i am not getting thoughts and the answer to write. Finally I got 9.7 gpa points in my exams but the doctor changed my course and given another tablets named schidon plus hcl and amisulpride tablets .this is summer holidays time .i used to get more sleep and drowsiness, my brain day by day became weak and suddenly one day I forgot to swallow the the tablets then brain again stopped working slowly ,also next three days I did not take the tablets because I went out of station for a function in village. Then I returned home and also taken tablets but no change immediately I informed my psychiatrist that my brain stopped again. I thought that this total negative change is due to the tablets he given (schidon plus hcl means risperidone and trihexyphenidyl hcl and amisulpride). So I changed many doctors also consulted a psychologist but my brain did not started working upto now it is 2 years upto now .i had left the college 1 year due to this problem ,i forgot to mentioned one thing that in this last one year my brain worked but only one day exactly 20 hours the reason behind this is due to that I had taken schidon plus hcl and amisulpride for 40 days exactly then suddenly we changed doctor and suddenly tablets also changed ,i started new tablets (stalopam and amisulpride tablets) then immediately after taking tablets I got the same feeling as a sudden flow of blood into the brain and same situation brain again started working ,my feelings started, my thoughts started, my happiness started, my imagination and all started but after 20 hours it stopped working due to end of tablets reaction effect. So this is the long story and upto now I have taken 6 ect sessions. But no improvement at all .so what should I do now?

Hello, There are many aspects of depression, the more of them you have the more likely you are to have a clinical depression. Some patients feel severely depressed and suicidal. If you have these feelings you should go to the emergency department immediately. Other things that people with depression can feel are sadness, low energy, lack of motivation, poor sleep, irritability, weight gain or loss, poor self image and sometimes even a lack of touch with reality. The more of these symptoms you have the more likely it is that you have serious depression. Treatments for depression include medications, counseling and exercise. Again the more of these you do the better your chance for a successful treatment. Good luck to you,

I am 16 years old boy and I am suffering from deep brain damage disorder due to late night studies and nightouts during exams before 2 years. This is second time i'm writing to you .i completed 10th class with 9.7 gpa points. After however I completed my exams using tablets *sulpitac *clonazem then psychiatrist changed my course with tablets *schidon plus hcl then slowly my brain functioning decreased day by day and due to this tablets I used to sleep for many hours .then one day I forgot to take tablets and my mind fully changed that it stopped working like my thoughts ,imagination, interest, talking inside heart all feelings also stopped. Again I started swallowing tablets but no change appeared. Upto to now it is 10 months that my brain stopped functioning. I tried many tablets like *stalopam, ampicon *daxid ,amsyc *and many more tablets for depression ,psychosis etc now I am taking tablets like risperidone, trihexyphenidyl hcl .because the doctor informed me that this is psychosis. My symptoms are like *lack of thoughts ,imagination ,interest or pleasure in activities, no proper sleep,*i am roaming at small place 24 hrs *there are no feelings at all for me *there are no problems like fever, cough, malaria or cold from 10 months or during this disorder. *this is winter but i'm not getting cold and no feeling. *hair became rough and when apply oil its soaking inside fastly. *my growth also stopped. *disorders in masticating food and vomiting, headache. *i am not to judge good or bad *i'm taking less food now than before *i'm not able to study ,understand ,focus, concentrate so I have quit this year for college. There is no feeling at all.*i'm getting thoughts of suicide and also quit this life. Doctors are telling this is psychosis ,i'm telling that my brain has stopped working, you are saying this depression. I want to take ect treatment once to stimulate my brain. I tried many tablets but no response .now i'm even getting thoughts of suicide and even I attempt to make suicide .please say that if ect works or not for my problems ,no one understanding my brain problem .even doctors also. I say this brain damage is due to lack of sleep at nights. Now what I should do? Doctors say this is psychosis but i'm not getting hallucinations and delusions and also i'm aware of my behaviour my outside behavior is good but inside its like a mix of jaundice ,malaria ,typhoid ,etc. I even tried tablets for depression for so many months but no response to this tablets. Should it is correct to take ect?
