About K Lac 0.5% w/v Eye Drop

K Lac 0.5% w/v Eye Drop is a non-steroidal and anti-inflammatory drug. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain post-surgery or after any other medical procedure. This medication functions by prohibiting certain substances in the body.

On using this medication you may experience side effects such as constipation, nausea, chest pain, vomiting, stomach upset, irregular heartbeat, convulsions, sweating, bloating diarrhoea, cough, gas, dizziness, mouth sores, drowsiness and headache. Should your reactions persist or become severe over time contact your health care provider right away.

Before using this medication tell your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within K Lac 0.5% w/v Eye Drop, you have any other allergic reactions, you are in the last trimester of your pregnancy or are breastfeeding a baby, you are already taking other prescription or non-prescription drugs, you have a history of ulcers, you have kidney or bleeding problems or kidney failures.

The dosage for this medication should be ideally prescribed by your doctor. This medication is available as an oral tablet, nasal spray and in an injectable solution form. The usual dose in adults for pain treatment is 50 kg or more both for intranasal and parenteral usage.

      There is no interaction between liver impairment and consuming this drug. So dose alteration is not needed.

    How does this medication work?

    K Lac 0.5% w/v Eye Drop is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It works by inhibiting the enzymes cylooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This prevents the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid which leads to a blockage of pain impulses.
