Euthyroid 100 Tablet is a medication that treats thyroid hormone deficiency including its severe form known as myxoedema coma. It may also be used to prevent and treat thyroid tumours.

Side effects from excessive doses include trouble tolerating heat, weight loss, sweating, trouble sleeping, anxiety, tremor, and fast heart rate. Stop using this medicine and consult a doctor if these side effects do not go away.

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in Euthyroid 100 Tablet, do not use it. You are advised to use precautionary measures before taking this medicine if you have a thyroid disorder, diabetes, heart disease, anaemia, osteoporosis, adrenal gland disorder, coronary artery disease, problems with your pituitary gland or a history of blood clots.

Euthyroid 100 Tablet is taken by mouth or given by injection into a vein. The dosage is determined by your doctor. This medicine works best on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast. Maximum effect from a specific dose can take up to six weeks to occur. Consult your doctor in case you face any problems.

Are there any missed dose instructions?

If you miss a dose of Levothyroxine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Euthyroid 100 Tablet works by bringing up the levels of T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine) hormones in your body in case of underactive thyroidism. Euthyroid 100 Tablet makes up for the deficiency of thyroxine levels in your body, and thus maintain normal metabolic rate.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. There are many brands of Levothyroxine available, anyone of those should be good enough. However, it is better to stick to one particular brand. Thyronorm is another brand available. Thanks.

Your reports of TSH are normal because you are taking thyroid supplements. If you stop taking it your TSH will rise again. Follow advice of your doctor.

Quite often I get sciatic nerve pain. Will not be able to sit, stand or even sleep. Sometimes right leg and sometimes left leg. Taking pain killer for temporary relief. Please advice the remedies for the nerve pain. I get cramps as well, had calcium deficiency and lot of hair loss, taking thyroid treatment. Medicine suggested for thyroid was Euthyroid 25, now taking vitamin tablets for hair. But nerve pain is really bad. I get pain from little above thigh till foot.
