About Omniclav 625Mg Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Amoxycillin and Clavulanic as active ingredients. Acid As a penicillin antibiotic, this medication treats bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of the cell wall in a bacteria and stops it from growing. This medication is used to treat infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract. This medication when used with an antibiotic clarithromycin, it treats stomach ulcers.

Other drugs may interact with amoxicillin, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell each of your health care providers about all medicines you use now and any medicine you start or stop using. Common side effects may include

    How does this medication work?

    This medication is a Penicillin antibiotic and inhibits the transfer of a peptide group in the transpeptidation process. As a result, the bacterium is not able to build cell walls and is killed. It also works as a beta-lactamase inhibitor by binding to beta-lactamase enzyme produced by bacterial cells, which in turn inhibits its enzymatic action and prevents beta-lactam antibiotics from being metabolized by the enzyme.
