Women experience a number of health disorders in their 30s. This is especially true for mothers. After childbirth, you may have difficulty maintaining your weight. In some cases, you may also experience other hormonal issues, which lead to excessive hair fall and a range of underlying disorders. Therefore, if you are a mother in her thirties, here are some things you should do if you want to stay healthy.

  • Find the perfect diet-

Just because you are a mommy now, you cannot compromise on your diet. If you follow a strict and healthy diet regime, your body will remain healthy and fit. Make sure you are getting enough carbs, fats, proteins and vitamins in your diet each day. Otherwise, you might not be able to direct all your attention to your child.

  • Exercise regularly-

Mothers generally do not need to incorporate exercise, as they often have to run after their kid. However, if you think you are putting on weight, you should start working out. If your schedule does not allow you to go to the gym every day, try to go for a walk every morning. A bit of exercise will do wonders for your body and will reduce your mental stress.

  • Get enough sleep-

One of the things that many mothers compromise on is proper sleep. While we understand that sleeping tends to be difficult with a child around, you should still try to get at least 7 hours of shut-eye every day. Lack of sleep can damage your health and lead to problems, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. Therefore, let your husband take care of your child while you enjoy your sleep.

  • Deal with stress-

While work and personal life can get stressful sometimes, it is essential to prevent stress from getting the upper hand. Spending time with your child will always put a smile on your face and reduce stress. However, you should also take time out for yourself and do the things that you love.

  • Beware of decreasing bone density-

Women tend to lose some of their bone density in their 30s. As a mother, you would encourage your child to have milk, eggs and leafy vegetables every day. Well, you should follow your own advice and start having these foods yourself. They are a great source of calcium, which acts as the building blocks for your bones. Adequate calcium intake will prevent osteoporosis and keep your bones healthy.

The most important thing for mothers is to remember to take care of their own body. You can care for your child only if you remain at the peak of your health.
