About Zevert Pvg Tablet

As an anti-vertigo drug, Zevert treats vertigo associated with the Meniere’s disease (disorder of your inner ear). The medicine decreases the pressure in your ears, which is the reason for the sense of nausea, dizziness and vertigo related to the disease.

The dosage of this tablet depends on your overall health, the severity of the condition and how your body reacts to the first dose. You must follow the instructions of your doctor and complete the course of this medicine. If you miss a dose you can take it later, but do not take two doses at once to make up for a missed dose.

Below are some precautions that you should keep in mind:

  • The tablet may worsen the symptoms of breathing problems. Therefore, it is advised to talk to your doctor if you have asthma
  • Take medical help if you are suffering from liver disease.

    How does this medication work?

    This is a combination medicine, thus work through multiple mechanism. Betahistine is a histamine analogue. It works as a partial histamine H1 receptor agonist and histamine H3-receptor antagonist, thus reduces the pressure in the inner ear by increasing the blood flow. Vinpocetine judiciously increases the brain’s ability to utilize and circulate oxygen. It makes the brain better tolerant to hypoxia and ischemia. It works as an anticonvulsant. It blocks PDE enzyme, and ameliorates the cluster of thrombocytes. Piracetam acts by impacting the release of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. It improves and facilitates microcirculation in the blood vessels. It increases the flow of blood and oxygen uptake by activating acetylcholine.
