My mother is 58 years old and she has a swelling under the right ear. Doctor suggested to do FNAC correlation and the report shows as 1" Thick walled predominantly cystic lesion with thick irregular eccentric solid component domentrating vascularity in the superficial lobe of right parotid gland. Finidng's suggest possibility of cystic neoplasm likely Warthin's tumor. Also the blood report shows some issues in thyroid gland (both lobes of thyroid show heretoechoiec nodules with cystic areas and coarse and microcalcifications) Then we decided to do a surgery to remove that rumor. As part of this she undergone a MRA NECK. Following are the observations in the report. 1) parotic Glands: A well defined heterogeneous lesion measuring 3x3. 8x4 cm is noted centred in the superficial lobe of the right parotid gland. Yes I think surgery should be done to remove tumor. Fnac can be done before surgery. Thyroid nodules can be benign but any suspicious one on ultrasound neck should also undergo Fnac.

Hi Do not worry, Take time to figure out what feels best. The more you practice, the better you’ll become. Eventually you’ll develop a sort of confidence about your performance. Yes, sex does take practice, but I think it’s more about the chemistry that the two people have. If your first few times don’t go as planned, don’t be discouraged. You’re still young, and you have plenty of time to perfect the art. Sex can be pleasurable now, but it isn’t necessarily going to feel amazing just because you’re a young adult. Good sex takes practice, regardless of how old you are. You need experience to know exactly what you’re doing. Your first time is often awkward, and can require a calm, romantic atmosphere to make a little more enjoyable. I would like to advise you. Stay active daily exercise. Reduce stress, Kick bad habits to increase sex power Eat these fruits and vegetables Garbanzo Beans. Eggs. Spinach. Dark Meat Chicken. Bananas. Walnuts. Watermelon. Additionally, good sex usually requires some sort of spark between two people. Be happy, There are so many medicines in Ayurveda to to solve your problem. Fistula - Ways It Can Be Treated!

The anal area is a highly vascular area, and if not maintained hygienically, it can lead to health issues including infection. The anal canal can get infected quite easily and if these infected parts begin to discharge pus, it could leak through the anal canal. This is known as anal fistula, and can be caused due to:

  1. Unhygienic toilet habits leading to infected anal region, which can pass up the anal canal
  2. Can be caused due to excessive straining, which can be due to constipation
  3. Post-surgical effect, where an existing anal abscess was drained

Symptoms:

  1. The fistula could be constantly draining pus or blood, producing a constant moist feeling in the anal region
  2. In some, it could be intermittent draining with full dry spells in between
  3. There could also be pain, which is constant and throbbing and worse with sitting
  4. Pus discharge can produce a foul smell
  5. The skin around the anus can be itchy and irritated
  6. Tenderness and swelling of the area
  7. Constipation and painful bowel movements
  8. Fever and chills, due to generic infection

Management: Prevention and treatment are both essential in managing anal fistula.

  1. Prevention is mainly achieved through healthy toilet hygiene habits, as this is the main cause for filstula formation
  2. Treatment would include para-surgical therapy ( non-invasive ), which should be followed by healthy toilet habits and good diet habits including fibrous meals to avoid constipation.

The following are two well-established surgical corrective measures.

Khsarsutra:

  1. Ayurveda has a well-established technique known as ksharsutra wherein a medicated thread is used to drain the fistula and to prevent further fistula formation.
  2. A linen thread is smeared with latex, curcuma longa, and Apamarg Kshar which are known for their multiple healthy benefits – anti-hermorrhoidal, anti-inflammatory, and coagulatory properties.
  3. The linen thread is smeared with these herbs in layers and takes a few days to prepare.
  4. This thread is then allowed to stay in the fistula tract, which allows for healing and prevents pus accumulation and/or closure
  5. This is followed by a complete liquid diet, which is gradually moved to a semi-solid diet and if required sitz baths

Ayurvedic gugglu ksharsutra therapy:

Ayurveda is a thousands of years old system of holistic healing through herbs. It is not only based on drugs but a healthy diet, good lifestyle, staying happy and different Ayurvedic treatments which have no side effects and are absolutely safe to use. According to Ayurveda a body suffers from a disorder because of disparity in the 3 Doshas. Ayurveda deals with balancing the Doshas and healing the body. Synchronizing the body, lifestyle with nature and its paradigm.

The Doshas have to be balanced, one dominant or other ignored causes disorders, as a result the person falls sick. Here, we will talk about fistula in Ano and Ayurvedic treatments for fistula in Ano.

Anal Fistula is a two-sided canal. One end of tube opens up inside the anal canal and the other opening is near the anus on the skin. This leads to leakage of stool from the other opening, oozing of pus leading to discomfort, pain, and sometimes fever as well.

Ayurvedic herbs are especially known for keeping the digestive system in good shape by maintaining the right balance of the Pitta element that maintains the right balance of the digestive fire. According to Ayurvedic principles, any disorder in the body is a result of a faulty digestive fire that manages its functions. It is very important to restore the imbalance of digestive physiology to heal the anal fistulas. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

4 Types Of Urinary Incontinence!

4 Types Of Urinary Incontinence!

Urinary incontinence, commonly known as loss of bladder control can really cause embarrassment. The severity of this condition may range from once in a while leaky urine to the sudden and forceful urge to urinate, due to which you end up urinating before reaching the toilet.

Types of Urinary Incontinence:

  1. Stress Incontinence: When you feel the urge to urinate due to sneezing, coughing, laughing or while doing physical exercise
  2. Urge Incontinence: When you feel the urge to urinate, suddenly. This may occur during the day and even at night.
  3. Functional Incontinence: When you cannot reach the toilet on time because of a physical or mental impairment.
  4. Mixed Incontinence: When you involuntarily urinate due to more than one incontinence

Stress incontinence is the most common type in women. The activities which increase your risk, are:

You have had more than one pregnancy and vaginal delivery.

You have pelvic prolapse. This is when your bladder, urethra, or rectum slide into the vagina. Delivering a baby can cause nerve or tissue damage in the pelvic area. This can lead to pelvic prolapse months or years after delivery.

Female urinary stress incontinence is the involuntary release of urine during any physical activity that puts pressure on your bladder. This potentially embarrassing condition differs from general incontinence in that it happens when the body is under immediate physical stress. Activities that can put stress on your bladder include coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting heavy objects, or bending over. This condition is particular to women, many of whom experience symptoms after muscles have been weakened due to a vaginal childbirth, following menopause, or during pregnancy.

Ensure that you consult a doctor:

  1. If this condition hinders your day to day activities
  2. If the urinary incontinence is the result of a serious underlying problem

Causes of Urinary Incontinence:

Urinary incontinence may be temporary or permanent. Causes for temporary incontinence are-

  1. Alcohol
  2. Caffeine and caffeinated drinks
  3. Decaffeinated tea or coffee
  4. Spicy and sugary foods
  5. High intake of Vitamin B or C
  6. Urinary tract infection (UTI)
  7. Constipation

Causes for Permanent Incontinence are:

  1. Pregnancy
  2. Childbirth
  3. Old age
  4. Menopause
  5. Hysterectomy
  6. Prostate cancer
  7. Enlarged prostate
  8. Neurological disorders

Complications:

Chronic urinary incontinence can lead to certain complications like:

  1. Skin Problems: Skin rashes and infections can develop around the vaginal area, because of the constant wetness one feels. It may also cause sores.
  2. Urinary Tract Infections: Urinary incontinence can also result in UTI
  3. Impact on Personal and Social Life: Urinary incontinence can lead to great embarrassment, thus affecting the social and personal life of an individual.

Treatment for Female Stress Urinary Incontinence:

There are several types of treatment available. Treatment options include lifestyle changes, medications, nonsurgical treatments, and surgeries.

  1. Lifestyle Changes: Make regular trips to the restroom to reduce the chance of urine leakage. Drink fewer fluids and avoid activities such as jumping and running.
  2. Medications: Medications that reduce bladder contractions.
  3. Nonsurgical Treatments: Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic muscles. Done regularly, these exercises can strengthen your muscles, allowing you to control when urine is released from your body.

Surgery:

If other treatments fail, you will have to go for surgical treatment. Types of surgery include:

  1. injectable therapy, in which collagen is injected into your urethra to reduce incontinence
  2. tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) surgery, in which mesh is placed around the urethra to give it support
  3. vaginal sling surgery, in which a sling is placed around the urethra to support it
  4. anterior or para-vaginal vaginal repair surgery to repair a bladder that is bulging into the vaginal canal
  5. retropubic suspension surgery to move the bladder and urethra back into their normal positions

Some doctors even try electrical stimulation and medication. When the condition is highly advanced interventional therapies and surgery is recommended.

Some interventional therapies are:

  1. Bulking material injections
  2. Botulinum toxin Type-A
  3. Nerve stimulators. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

Causes and Treatment for Corn on Skin

Namaste Friends! I am Dr. Surjeet Kaur Bawa practicing cosmetologist, skin aesthetics, trichologist and Ayurved Physician. Today we will talk about how corn is treated.

1st of all let us take a call on how is the corn formed. Corn is a small patch of skin, thickened skin, dead plug of skin which is found in feet sometimes, in hands too. What are the causes? Improper walking, uneven pressure on feet, ill fitting shoes etc. All this lead to friction of the feet thus thickening the underlining skin to sustain that pressure. What are the available treatments? Corn caps, acids, surgical excisions. Surgical excisions can offer relief but has big healing time and tedious post op care. Ayurveda offers immediate relief to the long standing pain by Agnikarma. Agni karma has been mentioned by Acharya Susrut, corn has been described as Kaddar in Ayurveda, it is treated by Shalaka Dahan.

This is a superior para-surgical procedure in management of not only corn but other health ailments also by pancha dhatu shalaka the tool for cauterization. This procedure doesn’t require any anesthesia, no hospitalization and minimum post op care. The patient goes on walking comfortably with reduced pain.

How is the treatment done. 1st the area is cleaned and dried, heated shalaka is then applied to the corn till the pain is sensed by the patient. Immediately the shalaka is removed and healing cream is applied, patient can comfortably walk back home. Now I will show you how a shalaka looks, (displaying) this is a shalaka, it’s a panchadhatu shalaka. This point is heated and applied to the corn. Very comfortable procedure and no post op care.
