About Sucraday O Syrup

Sucraday O Syrup helps in treating ulcers that develop in the intestine. It creates a coating around the ulcers. This coating protects the ulcers from getting injured, thus they have time to heal effectively.

Doctors prescribe the drug on the basis of the patient's medical condition and how he responds to the treatment. This drug has to be taken on an empty stomach or about an hour before you eat a meal.

Some minor side effects of the suspension are nausea, gas, dryness of the mouth, constipation and stomach upset. Major side effects include severe stomach pain, vomiting and problems with swallowing. An allergic reaction to the suspension is very rare, but if it does occur, its symptoms include swelling, rashes, problems with breathing and dizziness.

    The drug belongs to the gastrointestinal agents. It works by forming an ulcer-adherent complex that covers the ulcer site and protects it against further attack by acid, pepsin, and bile salts. It also inhibits the release of the gastrin hormone, which in turn reduces the secretion of gastric juices.

        Digoxin

        Sucraday O Syrup may decrease the absorption of digoxin. It is not advised to take these medicines simultaneously. Inform the doctor if you are receiving any gastric medications. Digoxin should be taken at least 2 to 4 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after sucralfate.

        Antidiabetic medicines

        Sucraday O Syrup oral suspension may increase the blood glucose levels in the patients with diabetes. Any symptoms of increased thirst, increased urination should be reported to the doctor. The dose of antidiabetic medicines should be adjusted based on the blood glucose levels. If symptoms persist, discontinue Sucraday O Syrup.

        Ciprofloxacin

        Sucraday O Syrup may decrease the absorption of ciprofloxacin. It is not advised to take these medicines simultaneously. Inform the doctor if you are receiving any gastric medications. Ciprofloxacin should be taken at least 2 to 4 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after sucralfate.

        Dolutegravir

        Sucraday O Syrup may decrease the absorption of dolutegravir. It is not advised to take these medicines simultaneously. Inform the doctor if you are receiving any gastric medications. Dolutegravir should be taken at least 2 to 4 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after sucralfate.
