Mebeverine helps treat symptoms of intestinal disorders and irritable bowel problems, such as spastic colitis, spastic constipation, colon irritation and mucous colitis. This drug belongs to the group of medicines called antispasmodics. It helps relax intestinal muscles, which in turn reduces pain and irritability.

The drug is meant for oral consumption and should be taken about half an hour before a meal. Regular use of this medication makes it more effective. You are allowed to drives as well as consume alcohol while taking this medicine.
