Miscarriage is a condition wherein a pregnant woman loses her unborn child spontaneously usually before the 20th week of pregnancy. It is different from abortion in the sense that it is spontaneous and not a deliberate attempt to end pregnancy. Symptoms of a miscarriage begin with abdominal cramps and bleeding. There can be severe weakness and back pain.
