About Zoryl 1 MG Tablet

This medicine is used for the management of noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 2) as an adjunct to diet and exercise to lower blood glucose. Used in combination with insulin to lower blood glucose in patients whose hyperglycemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise in conjunction with an oral hypoglycemic agent.

Zoryl 1 MG Tablet is a drug that is used on treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes, who can't control blood sugar levels through diet and exercise alone. Hence this drug is used to enhance the positive effects of diet and exercise with respect to blood sugar.

It is also used in combination with other antidiabetic medicines. It is a type of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine, that helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas.

Before starting a course of the medication, there are certain precautions that need to be taken. Firstly, any form of allergy must be mentioned to the consulting doctor. Also, if you have any history of kidney or liver diseases, it should be mentioned to the doctor.

Zoryl 1 MG Tablet makes the skin much more sensitive to the sun. Hence, if you are using this medication, use sunscreen to avoid skin problems. Limit the intake of alcohol during medication. Also, inform the doctor if you are currently using any prescribed drugs or diet supplement.

This drug shouldn’t be used by pregnant women. If you had a surgery recently, it is advisable not to take this medicine. The starting dose for Zoryl 1 MG Tablet is a 1mg tablet once every day.         Interaction of this medicine with alcohol is found to be unsafe. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consumption.

        Concomitant use of this medicine along with the following must be avoided:
        • YP2C9 enzyme substrate
        • Increased effects: H2-antagonists, anticoagulants, androgens, beta-blockers, fluconazole, salicylates, gemfibrozil, sulfonamides, tricyclic antidepressants, probenecid, MAO inhibitors, methyldopa, NSAIDs, salicylates, sulfonamides, chloramphenicol, coumarins, probenecid, MAO inhibitors, digitalis glycosides, urinary acidifiers.
        • Increased toxicity: Cimetidine may increase hypoglycemic effects; certain drugs tend to produce hyperglycemia and may lead to loss of control. These drugs include the thiazides and other diuretics, corticosteroids, phenothiazines, thyroid products, estrogens, oral contraceptives, phenytoin, nicotinic acid, sympathomimetics, and isoniazid.
      • Interaction with Food

        Consumption of grapefruit juice should be avoided while you are on Gala G 4 MG Tablet. Signs and symptoms like muscle pain and weakness, fever, and chills, swelling of joints, skin rash, nausea, vomiting should be reported to the doctor.
